Contributing
[edit]With these references at hand, we hope you find it easier to contribute to Wikipedia. Here's a brief synopsis of some ways you can:
- We obviously wouldn't have an encyclopedia without articles. This page shows how you can help them grow.
- Removing vandalism and keeping the integrity of articles intact is a great way of contributing. More information on how to do so can be found here.
- Fixing typos, correcting poor grammar and repairing broken links are just some examples of useful, behind the scenes contributions. Even just making things look nice makes using Wikipedia more pleasant for everybody.
- If you like working with images, you might be interested in the Graphic Lab. Similarly, this page shows you how to work with images in Wikipedia articles.
- This page lists the many types of tasks you can do to maintain Wikipedia.
- There are numerous WikiProjects that aim to provide coordination and collaboration on particular subjects. From this list, you can join a project and contribute within an area that interests you.
Of course, there are many ways of contributing, but I hope that this message is helpful to you, and that you'll enjoy editing Wikipedia and continue to do so. St Pats
[edit]Please stop inserting POV nonsense into the St Patrick's College, Mackay article. It has been established on the talk page that this "controversy" is in no way noteworthy, and as such, needs no mentioning in the article. Furthermore, you are engaging in a revert war, and you are reverting without using a source or using NPOV language. Some of the policies you are violating include WP:OR and WP:NPOV, and I'm asking you to stop insisting on adding this nonsense, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Thanks. Alice Mudgarden (talk) 09:14, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add defamatory content, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. If you wish to attest the notability or credibility of this addition, please do so on the talk page of the article, and do not add the information unless there is a clear consensus to do so. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we must insist that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. SatuSuro 00:59, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Please do not respond in Wikipedia to issues like your message to Alice Mudgarden - such messages are a sign of no understanding of WP:AGF - and can be seen as your not wanting to stay around as an editor - as you will find yourself blocked for WP:PA or worse - all the swear words at other user talk pages will not be a way of staying on much longer SatuSuro 01:03, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Shit. Your edits appeared to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. The way, the truth, and the light (talk) 07:14, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
The article Kiseki Films has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
no sources, no evidence of WP:NORG
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ L 🌸 (talk) 04:28, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
