As I said to MrX, my intention is not to spam, and not even primarily self-promotion. We are developing a Theosophical Wiki with information from primary sources to Theosophical concepts. I do not see why you consider this spamming. I carefully choose the articles that are appropriate, and offer people more resources specifically related to the subject. Why is this external link not acceptable when there are others that are not even directly related to the subject of the entry?

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Devachan. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. To anyone who knows about Theosophy, the TSWiki cannot be regarded "non-authoritative", since it only offers primary sources and not the opinion of uninformed people. But it is a repeated experience in trying to work in Wikipedia that I encounter people who do not know how to share and collaborate. This is why there was a need to create a Theosophical wiki. If the benefit of those whose are researching is not the main concern of those involved in a project, the result is tribal attitudes that make valuable contributors simply leave. You are missing the point. It is you who has a problem collaborating. Let me explain.

First, you have a conflict of interest, and you are failing to abide by the guideline Wikipedia:Conflict of interest by adding your links directly into articles instead of proposing them on the article's talk page.

Second, we also have a guideline about external links normally to be avoided. Yours qualifies possibly as item #12.

Third, we also have a policy about not linking to self published sources, which is apparently what your site is.

Finally, you don't even bother to use the edit summary to explain your edits. Unexplained addition of external links looks to everyone else like spam.

Given all that, it's hardly a surprise that your links are being removed.

Perhaps if you tried to learn Wikipedia's policies and guidelines that have evolved over years of community discussion and consensus, you might have an easier time here. Just sayin'.

Before you do anything else, go over to WP:CHU/Simple and request a username change, because yours is violating Wikipedia:Username policy. Usernames must represent only you as an individual, not an organization or website. I'll give you a few days to change it.
