Adoption
[edit]Hi, ThemeParker! I will be happy to adopt you. Please respond to this offer on my talk page. Btilm 03:53, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 03:57, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit]You're welcome! The first thing I would like to do for you is to give you a custom signature (like mine) that will display when you type ~~~~. Do you want one? Btilm 03:59, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- If you want to know how to indent a paragraph like I am doing now, please read wp:indent. To make more that one paragraph, just press enter twice. Here is an example:
Paragraph 1. Paragraph 2.
- Hope this helps. I am getting started on that signature. Btilm 04:07, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- How is this?
- ThemeParker
- If you click on it when it is on any page but your user page, it will link to your userpage. Let me show you a feature on wikipedia. Do you already know how to make a link? If you do, read the following. I have linked two lines to your talk and user pages.
- Go to your user page.
- Go to your talk page.
- Since you are already at your talk page, the link turns bold.
- Which browser do you use? Btilm 04:13, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- I am in the Central Time Zone. Btilm 04:15, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- Does the sig. appear round? There is a feature that will set the wikipedia time to your local time. Want me to show you how to do it? Btilm 04:16, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- Okay. I am back. For the time thing, do the following steps:
- Click on my preferences at the top of any Wikipedia page.
- Click the tab date and time.
- Under time offset, click the first drop down box and the select the option fill in from browser.
- That's it! You are done!
- The following is how your signature looks in firefox: Do you use a mac or pc? I would recommend getting firefox, which works best with Wikipedia. These are the steps to do the custom signature.
- Click on my preferences at the top of any Wikipedia page.
- Scroll down until you see a section that says signature.
- Copy and paste the following into the text field.
[[User:ThemeParker|<span style="-moz-border-radius:1em;border:1px solid black;font-size:11px;background-color:blue;color:white;padding:1px 4px 1px 5px">'''ThemeParker'''</span>]]
- Check sign my name exactly as shown if it isn't already checked.
- Click save.
- You're done!
- Tell me if you have a problem and I will fix it for you. Btilm 22:38, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- Well, if you want to make a new article, I would suggest creating a user subpage first. Then ask me to look at it and wikify it (look at the [[wp:mos|manual of style). That's about it. If you need help with anything, and anything at all, just let me know. Did the time thing work out okay? Btilm 01:40, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Hello again. I wanted to come and let you know that I do not have any hard feelings toward you. In fact, I do feel bad about including you in the Sock Investigation, but you must understand that when you showed up, with an account creation time of 13:48 and comment at 13:51 on the same day it looks more than a little suspicious. While that may not be an immense comfort, I do hope that it eases your mind. I will admit that I did not assume much faith, but when dealing with sockpuppets, a circumstance such as that can strain. I'm not going to bother you much more, but I hope that the next time our paths cross it will be under better circumstances. Sodam Yat (talk) 06:20, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Re:American Chemical Society links
[edit]No hard feelings. Many newcoming editors are trying to help wikipedia in good faith and yet might be unaware of its policies, WP:NOTDIRECTORY in this case. If their edits are reverted, it is important to engage into a dialogue and my tags merely intended to urge to do that. Regards. Materialscientist (talk) 03:23, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
