[edit]Hello, I'm DuncanHill. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Violet Milner, Viscountess Milner have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. DuncanHill (talk) 15:25, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
- Dear Mr Hall,
- The reason that it was removed was that there was no evidence to support the fact that they was in fact married. I have extended a branch to the Cape of Good Hope Colony(Cape Town, ZA) and asked them about it. He replied with no results. Also I looked into the British side and still with no evidence. So please correct the mistake.
- With Kind Regards,
- Thelitegaurd Thelitegaurd (talk) 22:50, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
- Reliable sources say they were married and so that is what we say. DuncanHill (talk) 23:17, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
- No sorry but this is false. Thelitegaurd (talk) 13:33, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- It's in The Times, it's in the register of marriages. They were married at St James's Paddington. DuncanHill (talk) 15:03, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- if this is the case why is there no record. It may claim to have stated they married but there is no record of the marriage anywhere in existance. Thelitegaurd (talk) 20:04, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- i have been to deed poll and probate in the united kingdom even they have no record of the marriage on file. Thelitegaurd (talk) 20:05, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- There is a record. England & Wales Marriages 1837-2005, District: Paddington, County: London, 1921, 1st Quarter, Alfred Viscount Milner and Violet G Cecil, Volume 1a, Page 52. That should be enough for you to order a copy of the marriage certificate from GRO. "Index entry". FreeBMD. ONS. Retrieved 20 May 2023. DuncanHill (talk) 22:28, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
