Editing and discussing the Bain family murders article

Please take the time to read through some of the archived talk page for the article - issues about numerous things, including the inclusion of details about Laniet in the family background section, have been discussed and debated previously and consensus reached. Under WP:BRD, if you add material and it is reverted, then the onus is on you to go to the talk page and get consensus for your proposed changes. As this has been a highly contentious article, I would suggest that most significant changes should probably be discussed there first.

Also, when using the talk page, please respond to other people's comments by using colons at the beginning of your paragraphs, as I have done here - just use one more than the comment you are replying to - rather than starting a new section and copying and pasting other editor's comments as you did when starting the new section Balance.

Finally, please make sure you always WP:SIGN your comments by including four tildes (~) at the end so we can keep track of who said what when. Thank you Melcous (talk) 05:02, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
