Welcome!
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia

- How to edit a page
- Editing tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Simplified Manual of Style
Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 03:12, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
I moved your user page
[edit]Your user page is meant to tell us about what you have done or what you plan on doing on Wikipedia. You don't have to put anything there if you don't want to.
It should NOT be used for draft articles. It should also not be used for pages that look like articles but are not.
I moved the page to your personal sandbox, User:Thedivinebey/sandbox.
I recommend that you remove the picture of Beyoncé as it might be considered deceptive.
I also recommend you remove all external links, or someone will think the page is designed for self-promotion. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a web hosting site or social media site. It should not be used to promote yourself or, for that matter, any other topic.
Please read Help:About, Help:My first article, and Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 03:17, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
sorry, i don’t really know my way around wikipedia. i was just using this as a little quarantine boredom project i had no clue. thanks for letting me know i can see how people could get confused if they stumbled across my page. Thedivinebey (talk) 06:04, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
- As this sandbox still looks like self-promotion, it is eligible to be deleted under "speedy deletion" criteria WP:CSD#G11, "Unambiguous advertising or promotion," or criteria WP:CSD#U5, "Blatant misuse of Wikipedia as a web host."
- As an alternative, I replaced its contents with a message saying it has been blanked as a courtesy. Please do not restore the content. However, if you wish to "retrieve" the content so you can put it on a web hosting service that uses "wikipedia-like" coding, you can still access the most recent "non-blanked" version in the edit history. Click on the version you want to open - probably the one dated "05:51, 10 December 2020" (05:51 UTC - it may show a different time depending on your time zone and WP:Preferences setting), then choose "edit," then copy the wiki-code to a file on your local device or to another web site, then close the window without saving your changes. When you are done, please replace the content with exactly what is in green:
{{db-user}}
. If you do it right, the page will look something like what you see at Template:db-user. - Before editing Wikipedia again, please read Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, particularly the section titled "Wikipedia is not a blog, web hosting service, social networking service, or memorial site".
- Thank you. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:33, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
