- If you didn't create an image yourself, or if you don't know for sure that the person who created it has waived copyright, you should assume it's copyrighted (because it probably is). Wikipedia does quite prominently warn you about this when you go to upload a file; you shouldn't tick the "I am the creator of this image" if you're not, you know?
