Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Good Story Productions. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 22:54, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I replied to this on another oage. The only reason I created a username andwas that someone EMAILED ME FROM WIKIPEDIA ASKING FOR ME TO PROVIDE A LICENSE FOR A PHOTO I OWN. HERE IS THE EMAIL: Dear Good Story, Thank you for your interest in donating media! We hope to be able to use your contribution soon, though we will require a specific statement of permission in order to do so. Please assist us with this process if you can. The easier way is to resend this permission from a email attached to your website (i.e. something@goodstoryproductions.net) Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions, and thank you again for your willingness to contribute! Yours sincerely, Valeria Domínguez

PLEASE DELETE MY ACCOUNT. I AM TRYING TO!

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. Thank you. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 22:54, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason: The block was because your user name did not comply with Wikipedia policy, and your user name has been changed, so there is no longer any reason for you to be blocked. I am sorry your introduction to editing Wikipedia has been so negative, and I hope there are no more problems for you. Do please take note of the guideline on conflict of interest, to which there is a link above, as changing your user name does not invalidate that guideline. Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/The Real Sam Peters, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
