User talk:The Powerful
A tag has been placed on Casanova Shamdil, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company or website, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why Casanova Shamdil is really notable, you can contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and leave a note on Talk:Casanova Shamdil, explaining how Casanova Shamdil is notable. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ~a (user • talk • contribs) 00:50, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Goth subculture. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. Ok, I sometimes can't believe how rude some people are though.
mister ass-head responds
[edit]Dear Sir,
First and foremost, I take offense to being called "mister ass-head"; it was thoroughly uncalled-for, even though I did forget to sign my discussion page entry that time. (You can find out who people are through the history.) One of the rules of Wikipedia is "Be civil", and name-calling is not the way to go about that. You may not be able to believe how rude some people are, but personal attacks are just as rude, especially when all I did was edit an article. I am grateful to you for creating the article, but another Wikipedia rule (at the bottom of every edit page, no less) states, "If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed by others, do not submit it." I corrected your grammar and spelling and rewrote some sentences for readability. This was not an attack on your abilities as an encyclopedist or a writer; I was just doing my job.
In addition, I'm aware that her life is somewhat unknown; the POV to which I was referring was "Though she earned much acclaim during those periods of time, she is considered by some to be a forgotten writer." This is an unsourced statement and an opinion besides, and it deserved to be removed for that reason.
Finally, as far as "typical Wikipedia" goes, I should hope so. I just use it to read about interesting things, and fix errors as I go along. That's all I really can do. I hope you do the same. Continue contributing. We need you and people like you to keep writing articles about notable - but often little-known - subjects, like Louise Lawrence and her writing. I'm sorry you were offended, and I hope it doesn't stop you from going on writing.
Best of luck, Thor Rudebeck 01:42, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
blocked for 24 hours
[edit]You've now been blocked from editing for 24 hours for the blanking of several pages. Removing relevant, sourced statements is vandalism, and if you continue upon the expiration of your block, you will simply be blocked for longer. --InShaneee 19:39, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
You sonofa....you're just like the FCC
- Making insults while blocked does nothing to help your case. --InShaneee 19:42, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
I'll BLOCK YOU!!!
(2 hours lata)
I BLOCKED YOU!!
- Continuing to act like a troll will result in an extension of your current block. --InShaneee 22:55, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
I'll just have to wait then.
- No, as I said, continuing this behavior once your block expires will simply result in another, longer block. --InShaneee 02:45, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]You have been blocked for 48 hours for several incidents of vandalism (example). You've been blocked before for page blanking vandalism, and based on your talkpage you should know better.--Isotope23 18:01, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello The Powerful! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 58 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- Rikki Ducornet - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
