Administrator intervention against vandalism
Thank you for your comment at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism about 71.178.53.171. Your comment was perfectly reasonable, but did not take into account the background to the report. This editor is a long-term troll who has been editing from various IP addresses over a long time, and takes delight in attempting to bait a particular group of editors. One of the methods this person uses to try to taunt people is to use certain key words (such as "scruffy") as a way of announcing in effect "it's me again". Anyone who has had prior dealings with this troll/vandal will instantly recognise the pattern, and the correct procedure is to report immediately to AIV, and for an admin to block immediately. Giving a string of warnings and waiting would not be helpful, both because it would give the vandal more time to post their silly messages, and also because it would give exactly the kind of response that the troll is seeking: see Wikipedia:Deny recognition. Again, thanks for your comment, but I thought it might help you to know why an action has been taken which, from your point of view, might not look good. JamesBWatson (talk) 20:55, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
Robot combat
Hi.
Why are you treated {{Robotics}} on Robot combat as a vandalism?
Please read: User_talk:Joerger#Robot_combat, User_talk:Danim2#Robot_Combat.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Danim2 (talk • contribs) 12:32, March 3, 2011

Vandalism help
Thank you for your post to Brian Boru's page. However I don't think it had any effect as he again vandalized my page after you posted your warning to him. Can you do something more about it? Thank you. Spidey104 18:22, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Bombing of Guernica, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. - Check out the article history. You put it in there, I gather by mistake. These things happen. Don't worry about it. No More Mr Nice Guy (talk) 20:56, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
- What happened is that because of the edit conflict you reverted Ian Rose rather than the vandal. The warning is automatic, no need to explode. No More Mr Nice Guy (talk) 08:35, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- Not sure what you want to do about it. It's really not a big deal. You made a mistake due to an edit conflict. I fixed it with a tool that gives automatic warnings. We both understand it was a mistake and that you're not a vandal, so... No More Mr Nice Guy (talk) 10:19, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Status
Hi
I know, it is a bit of a pain in the a***! As far as I know there are very limited numbers of status indicators...I did try out Xeno's script which added the easy links at the very top of the page (where My talk My preferences My watchlist are) but they all need a page save unfortunately. Xeno's script was a little easier to use though.
I tried to find one that would automatically put "offline" when I logged out and "online" when I logged in so that I could just use the Status one for away, around and sleeping, but I couldn't find one unfortunately...I am still looking though :¬) Chaosdruid (talk) 22:12, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
- It's not a question of not working on different skins unfortunately, its more that the scripts don't do what I want irrespective of which style page they are used on :¬) Chaosdruid (talk) 19:53, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of User talk:The Master of Mayhem/Archive index
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. The Master of Mayhem 18:01, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

At least have respect for other peoples' edits without calling them "vandalism". That's very offensive. I did explain the edits in the edit summary. But you probably didn't read them before it took you seconds to revert my edits. 82.152.218.51 (talk) 18:27, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

Anyway, so since Andrew Luster can be verified to have attended Windward School and is a notable person, can we or can we not agree that he should be listed under notable persons to have attended? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.96.145.247 (talk) 20:05, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
Yo, Andrew Luster DID attend Windward School and is a notable person so he should be included in the alumni. Don't be a fucking retard.

Eddie Benitez
Hello... I am the original editor of the article Eddie Benitez and I am Eddie Benitez. I am not sure if I have processed the deletion nomination correctly, the page is very confusing. I am requesting you do that on my behalf. Over the past week, there are 2 IDs - Angelsonmystage and Westwind77 that has been putting false information and slanderous statements in the entry. I do not wish for any future edits to take place, the article has been butchered and I do not have the time to monitor this article daily. Please let me know how we can remove this entry immediately and block my name for future entries. Just a little point. Db-nonsense is for real gibberish. This is rubbish, but not nonsense. I've changed to tag to db-bio because there's no indication of notability. Vandalism, gibberish, incoherence and non-notability do often shade off into each other. This user is going to get an inappropriate pages warning for self-promotion. No, Bonadea's already done it. And I've deleted them. Peridon (talk) 11:35, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

CSD on Nanologica AB
Just a note to say that I have removed the CSD tag which you placed on Nanologica AB because the article does make a claim to significance which may be credible: "They are the world’s leading developers and producers of mesoporous silica particles". I am not an admin, but I understand that any average editor can remove CSD tags that are not on articles that they created. The article may not meet the notability guidlines, and as yet, does not reliably source the claim to significance, so maybe an AFD is in order. Thanks, Quasihuman (talk) 17:52, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
My mistake, apologies, Quasihuman (talk) 17:56, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Regarding Edit Reversion
Re: "The Escapist (magazine)" As you can tell, I'm not at all experienced with Wikipedia editing, but I attempted to explain my edit under "Discussion" as to why the Awards section of the article was removed. If you manage to find credible sources for the three claimed awards, please add citations, but after an extensive search, I turned up nothing, and thus removed them from the page. I imagine this isn't the proper way of explaining an edit, so if you could give me a few pointers in that direction, I would much appreciate that as well. Just thought I wanted to let you know I wasn't vandalizing.
Informer3X 21:13, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
My apologies then. As I mentioned, I'm learning as I go along, so if you expected perfection from a newcomer, then you should look elsewhere. Thank you for the advice.

Quick question about Huggle. I keep telling Huggle to not add pages to my watchlist (via the System-- Options--- Editing tab) and unchecking the options. I click OK and all that. I noticed you reverted some vandalism on that page today, by undoing the last edit. Thank you for picking that up, but I am just asking you to be even more vigilant. When you revert, you need to check what you are reverting to. There had been three separate vandalistic errors by three different vandals and you only caught the last one. Fortunately the other stuff was so stupid that it was obvious and I found it.
Sometimes vandalism such as the deletion of a whole section can go unnoticed, if a well-meaning editor simply reverts without doing a proper history check. Believe me, a whole section in the life of Fra Angelico went missing a few years back, because of a similar problem. Several months later, I reread the entire article and tracked down the missing section, buried under a hundred later edits. So, check the history, and make sure you are reverting to a good state. Jokes
Four jokes- A little boy wanted $100 badly and prayed for two weeks but nothing happened. Then he decided to write a letter to the Lord requesting the $100. When the postal authorities received the letter addressed to the Lord, USA, they decided to send it to President Clinton. The President was so impressed, touched, and amused that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $5.00 bill, as this would appear to be a lot of money to a little boy. The little boy was delighted with the $5.00, and sat down to write a thank-you note to the Lord. It said: Dear Lord, Thank you very much for sending me the money. However, I noticed that for some reason you had to send it through Washington, DC and as usual, those jerks deducted $95.
Fred collected lots of money from trick-or-treating and he went to the candy store to buy some chocolate. “You should give that money to charity,” said the sales girl. Fred thought for a moment and said, “No, I ll buy the chocolate. You give the money to charity.”
Dad, would you like to save some money? I certainly would, son. Any suggestions? Sure. Why not buy me a bike, then I my shoes will not wear out so fast.
William: May I have some money for the man crying outside ? Mum: What crying man ? William: The one that’s crying, Ice cream! Ice Cream ! --Ankit Maity | Talk • contribs 06:05, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
