Elizabeth Warren talk page

What exactly is your point to your comment to me on the Elizabeth Warren talk page where you said, "(and we say Native Americans.)"--CharlesShirley (talk) 20:01, 18 October 2018 (UTC)

Sorry, I left out the word can. In other words instead of saying Warren has been criticized by conservatives and Cherokee groups we can say she has been criticized by conservatives and Native American groups. "We" refers to editors of the article. I am not by the way making a statement that Native American is the term we must use, but I used it because it is the most generally accepted term in the United States today. Sorry, I jumped to conclusions.--CharlesShirley (talk) 22:28, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
CharlesShirley, not a problem. I would like to say that I agree with including the criticisms you mentioned. What I find with this article and similar ones however is that some editors, and I don't mean you, take either a Democratic or Republican position on what information should be included or how the matter should be presented. That makes it very difficult to improve the article. While my views of the matter are not relevant to how the article should be presented, I don't think that either Democrats or Republicans come across well. But then neither party has a good record on Native American issues. TFD (talk) 22:44, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
