Having found that Wikipedia is the domain of retarded pedantic morons who plagiarise others, I am no longer a contributor. Perhaps when intelligent life hits Wikipedia I might return - their loss.

A belated welcome!

Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, The Data Junkie. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! -- samtar whisper 20:40, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Adele

[edit]

Hi Please use the page Talk:Adele to talk about the birthdate of Adele's mother. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:18, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have removed your comments regarding the d.o.b. of Adele's mother. Clearly this is entirely your prerogative, but I wouldn't want you to feel that any disagreement with me or other users had made you feel harassed or bullied. I know that occasionally Wikipedia can be exasperating when editors become entrenched in different viewpoints and I hope that you will continue to make contributions and challenge the status quo. Your recent editing history at Adele shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:12, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What's up

[edit]

Hi The Data Junkie, I noticed your recent edit to this page - it'll be sad to see you go! Is there anything I can do to help out and possibly guide you in finding another area of the project you may enjoy editing? -- samtar talk or stalk 10:09, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
