User talk:The Arc of Fame

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello The Arc of Fame, and welcome to Wikipedia! The first thing you should know is that we encourage you to be bold. Feel free to edit and improve articles, by clicking any 'edit' link.

If you'd like to test what Wikipedia can do, check out the sandbox - just type and save the page and your text will appear. That's the beauty of a Wiki.

For more information check out our tutorial - it's designed with newcomers in mind, as is the help section. If you'd like to get involved with current projects, have a look at the Community Portal. There are always tasks for users to do, ranging from copyediting to expanding stubs.

I hope you'll enjoy your time here, but be warned, it can become addictive! Feel free to message me, I'm more than happy to help. As an added tip, sign any message you post so users know that you've said it. To do so is delightfully simple, just use the wikicode ~~~~.

Once again, welcome! James Kendall [talk] 23:49, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for experimenting with the page Mickey Mouse on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. Jkelly 23:57, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When moving pages please do not just cut-and-paste from the page you want moved to where you want to move it to. The reason for this is that the entire edit history of the page will be lost. I will ask an administrator to make the move from "Pink Panther" to "The Pink Panther". Qutezuce 03:51, 21 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Again, do not copy and paste to move pages. See WP:MOVE -SCEhardT 02:33, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I manually moved your attempt on The Care Bears (TV series) back to its original name (The Care Bears (television series)). If you want to talk about any such changes, please do so next time on the relevant article's talk page. And again, do not cut and paste for redirection purposes; it will destroy the history of the page in question. Thank you. --Slgrandson 18:13, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Frankford Candy & Chocolate Company

[edit]

I have nominated Frankford Candy & Chocolate Company, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Frankford Candy & Chocolate Company. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Orphaned non-free image (Image:MillerLite.gif)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:MillerLite.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
