License tagging for Image:Daisyback drupal.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Daisyback drupal.png. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:05, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
Please do not add commercial links (or links to your own private websites) to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thanks. -- malo (tlk) (cntrbtns) 05:12, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Moderators - Please explain why or what part of the user profile is not acceptable. Blanking the page with the explanation of "blatant spam" is not helpful. There are a number of lengthy - hard to fathom pages on the "policies" . It will take me a while to go through them.
== -->Hi - I don't mind removing everything, it is not my intention to vanalize or spam wikipedia. I just logged in yesterday and I'm not sure of the culture here. Could you unblock the account and blank out whatever is considered inappropriate. Reason is: Rookie Mistake! It looks like it will be unblocked tomorrow - I'll check back then. Thanks == TheVirtualToolshed
- User pages are for editors to use to describe their encylopedic activites and sometimes a bit about themselves. They cannot be used to advertise products (regardless of whether its a free or paid product). The particular policy you'd be looking for in regards to these issues is WP:User page. Also, if you type ~~~~ after your messages, it automatically inserts your username and a timestamp to make it easier for people to follow the conversation. If there's anything else I can do to help, please click here and leave me a message. Shell babelfish 07:52, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
- Since you mentioned going through the policies, I thought I'd point out a few that can help you acclimate quickly, hope this helps sort out those pages a bit :)

- I would have unblocked you per your request, though I must warn you that you will be blocked again if you are spamming links or promoting your company on your userpage again. I won't do that, and instead ask you to create a new account with a new username, because even your username itself is an ad for your business, and, considering your email address, that is inappropriate self-promotion. Please create a new account with a non-promotional username, and drop me a line from it so I could properly welcome you to Wikipedia. - CrazyRussian talk/contribs/email 20:35, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks
[edit]OK Thanks! Delete this account and I'll make another one — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheVirtualToolshed (talk • contribs)
- You cannot delete accounts on wikipedia. When you press the save button, you are agreeing that all your edits to Wikipedia are liscenced under the GFDL. All you have to do is just forget about this account and create a new one, but you can't delete the old one. Also, please tell us the user name of the new account for future reference. --GeorgeMoney T·C 23:02, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
