You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for evasion of the block on you at User:65.96.67.105. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. It's good that you have a username now, but you really are not allowed to edit while you are blocked. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 20:56, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have not edited anything other than continuing a discussion about the editing process. Please remove this block, it has been improperly applied in this situation.TheTruthLeadsMe (talk) 20:58, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My understanding is that users who are blocked are not allowed to edit. This seems to be confirmed by both WP:BLOCK and WP:SOCK. Can you please offer me a link to the Wikipedia policy that says that blocked users are allowed to edit under different usernames? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 20:59, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have not edited any articles and it is not my intention to edit any article, therefore I have not violated any policies.TheTruthLeadsMe (talk) 21:05, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you have read WP:BLOCK and WP:SOCK carefully and found the section that you think says you're allowed to edit while blocked as long as you don't edit articles, please feel free to appeal the block. Make sure to include a link to that policy, because I've been here for years and never seen it. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:11, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You can go look at those pages yourself. I have not created an additional account with any intent other than discussion, i have made no attempts to to create the illusion of greater support for an issue, to mislead others, to artificially stir up controversy, or to aid in disruption. Yes, I did circumvent a block of an IP address, however if you look at the history I have made no edits to any articles, I have only engaged in discussion on discussion pages, discussion is what helps sort out problems and disagreements here on wikipedia, by blocking a person from attempting to engage in discussion you are squashing the ability for true discussion to take place, which can lead to even bigger problems with the entire ability for wikipedia to be a legitimate source for information.TheTruthLeadsMe (talk) 21:20, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I feel like you're not understanding me. You are blocked from editing. That means that you aren't allowed to edit right now. But after your block expires, you will be welcome to edit. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:22, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What article did I edit? Show me the article I edited which has warranted this username to be blocked from having any type of discussion?TheTruthLeadsMe (talk) 21:23, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't say that you were blocked from editing articles. You are blocked from editing. If you'd like to see what edits you have made, just click 'user contributions' in the left sidebar. After your block expires, you may edit, but while you are blocked, you may not edit. Remember that you are the one who invented the idea that you are allowed to edit talk pages while blocked; the real rule is that, while blocked, you are not allowed to edit. You can tell that by the fact that blocking a user blocks them from all edits, and not just from editing articles. Let's test it now. You are blocked. Go on and try to edit a talk page. If you are able to, that means that you're allowed to edit talk pages while blocked. If you can't, that means you aren't. Then you'll be able to believe me. Next time, could you try believing me the first time? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:28, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I never said I did not believe you, maybe you should try to understand my point of view and my intent. There is no ill intent on my part by creating this username. The blocking policy and the SOCK policy is to prevent vandalism and abuse of editing procedures in wikipedia. Maybe if you opened up your mind a little and stopped clinging to your "rules" as in such a strict manner and realize that every situation is unique and actually understanding what a person is doing before you jump right into things that it is obvious you fail to understand. By not allowing discussion on a subject, you are removing the freedom of wikipedia's content to reach a consensus and actually be respected as an informational source. Maybe if you people were capable of this then wikipedia might actually be a respected source in footnotes or bibliographies.TheTruthLeadsMe (talk) 21:40, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(OD)To sum up here, you were blocked for your edit warring as an IP. That block carries over if you change IPs or get a username. When the block expires, you're welcome to discuss whatever issues you have on the talk page for that topic. Until then, however, you have to sit out your block regardless of what identity you're currently editing under. Good luck in the future. Dayewalker (talk) 21:58, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
