Links to draft articles
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Enlightenment (software). Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 14:41, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
- Ah, makes sense. Won't do it again :) TheTechRobo (talk) 19:27, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, TheTechRobo3641. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Elive, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. IMO Moderator/Trusted user at a forum is a close connection. -- Yae4 (talk) 22:44, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, TheTechRobo3641, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Elive does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.
There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. - Which edit is that? TheTechRobo (talk) 22:43, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
- Just following up here - what edit that I made was not neutral? Just so that I know what not to do. :-) TheTechRobo (talk) 00:49, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
- It's a generic NPOV template, referencing an article where you may have COI. -- Yae4 (talk) 18:17, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
