Current reference house cleaning

[edit]

For those interested, I am paying attention to the Gretel Killeen page and Big Brother Australia page currently. Incorrect and unreliable sources are often referenced there. I am removing them and hopefully the correct information will stay. If you disagree with my decisions, this is the place to discuss why.

The specific policy I am using to remove information from unreliable sources, that are often wrong (poor fact-checking) and biased against the topic their web site is devoted to (extremist), is the Wikipedia Verifiablity one, and in particular the Questionable sources section. Such unreliable sources should only be mentioned in relation to themself. The policy specifically states:

Questionable sources are those with a poor reputation for fact-checking. Such sources include websites and publications that rely heavily on rumors and personal opinions, are promotional in nature, or express views that are widely acknowledged as extremist or pseudoscientific. Because of this, they can be treated similarly to the way self-published sources are treated. Questionable sources should only be used as sources of information about themselves as described below. Any contentious claims the source has made about third parties should not be repeated in Wikipedia, unless those claims have also been discussed by a reliable source

.
