Welcome!

Hello, TheHerbalGerbil, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  RJFJR 14:01, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Referring to an editor as racist

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. (Netscott) 23:49, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Civility

It is important to keep a cool head, especially when responding to comments against you or your edits. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and remember that action can be taken against other parties if necessary. Attacking another user back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors and leads to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Thanks! (Netscott) 00:06, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Listen you will be blocked shortly if you continue. This editor was just blocked for the same reasons. (Netscott) 00:06, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
I will not bow under your petty attacks and personal threats. — TheHerbalGerbil 00:21, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
There's nothing to bow down too... just contribute to better the encyclopedia in accord with Wikipedia's policies and there won't be any problems. (Netscott) 00:25, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Which is what I do. Whereas you are being destructive in deleting my comments. Talk pages are made for discussion. How long do you think you'll get away with censoring POVs that you don't agree with or which highlight your shortcomings? — TheHerbalGerbil 00:30, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

You cannot abuse someone here. It is not a street. You will be blocked soon if you continue. May be you are right but this is no right way to communicate. I do not wish bad for you. --- ALM 00:47, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

And yet here you are, threatening me and lying about your feelings - you say you do not wish bad for me yet you go out of your way to defend this shameful muslim brother of yours, way out here on my userpage. — TheHerbalGerbil 05:34, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
...did you really just call someone a "shameful Muslim"? Take a break before you get blocked. -Amarkov blahedits 05:41, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
Yes. Check their userpages - both ALM and Netscott are of the Muslim faith. ALM is defending Netscott here in an affair which is none of his business. And I am warning YOU now, Amarkov, that further comments along the lines of "take a break before you get blocked" will be taken as threats and dealt with accordingly. — TheHerbalGerbil 05:58, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
"Taken as threats"...? I don't really see how you're in a position to do that. Do it if you want... -Amarkov blahedits 06:14, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
You do not have the authority to block me. You are threatening me - you are in violation of Wikipedia:Harassment. This is your second warning. So much as touch this page again and I am reporting you. — TheHerbalGerbil 06:23, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Please read the following guidelines:

Please cease your edits which are against these basic principles and go on with editting articles as they should be.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 00:40, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for disrupting Wikipedia by making personal attacks. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. Blnguyen (bananabucket) 00:47, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Your userpage

Please remove the comments about NetScott from your userpage. Userpages are not to be used as billboards for criticising other users. You may retain your comments about myself there if you wish. As for NetScott's 3RR, you can go to WP:AN3 to lodge a complaint and WP:PAIN for harassment. Thankyou. Blnguyen (bananabucket) 02:07, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

I did so last night, but oddly enough, I couldn't lodge a complaint because my editing privileges were suspended. I'll follow through with the complaint soon. In the meantime, the comments stay up. there has to be SOMEPLACE here for the truth. You should know better than to take sides as you did - punishing me but letting Netscott's 3RR violations slide, especially considering his attitude and past record for violating the rules (see his User and User_talk pages). I really do expect better from you. — TheHerbalGerbil 04:31, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
Well, I have blocked Netscott twice in the past, so to say that I am sponsoring bad behaviour on his part is frankly wrong. Also, to the best of my knowledge, one's own user-talk page is exempt from 3RR. Blnguyen (bananabucket) 05:17, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
That's good to hear. If only we could three-strikes-and-you're-out this punk... So you don't even think that what he's doing to me can be considered harassment? (Probably about a dozen poorly justified reverts at this point.) — TheHerbalGerbil 05:26, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Evidence of personal attacks

Netscott provided evidence you made personal attacks against him. He showed you called him a "shameful Muslim" and a"punk". Referring to a user's religion or belief system in that way is not acceptable. - Mgm|(talk) 09:00, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Your recent edits to Talk:Perpetual motion and other pages

It is not necessary to debunk every comment made on these pages. Most of them have no effect on the article, and are ignored by pretty much every editor other than the original poster. Michaelbusch 19:01, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

I know. But I think informing contributors of their mistakes will help prevent them from repeating them in articles. You could think of it like an indirect benefit to the article. — TheHerbalGerbil 19:21, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
