Reliable sources in Joseph C. Evans (author)
Can you please help me understand what it's meant to have reliable sources? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vintagegirl2001 (talk • contribs) 13:59, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Vintagegirl2001: Hey! Currently Joseph C. Evans (author) has no reliable secondary sources. What that means is that you've included links to the author's YouTube, Facebook, etc. but there are still no references to coverage in newspapers, or other third-parties. If such material does not exist, then the article may not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. If you can find such material, then that's great. TheDragonFire (talk) 14:07, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
- I searched and searched and I couldn't find any newspapers or magazines about him. That means I've to delete this article. Please can you tell me how to delete an article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vintagegirl2001 (talk • contribs) 15:36, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Vintagegirl2001: Edit it, and replace the entire thing with this;
- {{db-g7}}
- Just as I've written it there, with the double brackets. That's the code for Author requests deletion.
- If that's too complex, just blank it; we then assume you want it deleted. 86.20.193.222 (talk) 23:20, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Vintagegirl2001: Please read Wikipedia:Notability (people) and decide if Joseph C. Evans (author) is notable. If not, then feel free to request page deletion as User:86.20.193.222 suggested. If you feel he is notable, then you can just leave the page and someone else will eventually add more sources. The maintenance tags at the top of the page, simply serve as a warning to readers that this article isn't finished yet. TheDragonFire (talk) 01:36, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

Rollback granted
Hi TheDragonFire. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! -- There'sNoTime (to explain) 11:57, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
Hello, regarding the article Francesco Mariotti, you tagged it as BLPunsourced. The article does have a list of sources, but no inline citations. I replaced your tag with the correct tag (no footnotes). Please always look down through the entire article before assuming there are no sources. Thank you. Antonioatrylia (talk) 05:48, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Antonioatrylia: Hey! I'm sorry about that. I think I scrolled down and saw "External links", and assumed that was all there was, completely missing "Sources". I've re-checked the page, and noticed a possible copyright violation, which I've tagged. There still seems to be non-infringing content, so I didn't speedy it. Fidha Hussain
The user, Fidha Hussain has made a string of harmful edits to Wikipedia, most seemingly in good faith, but some seem obviously malicious to me (such as the move of Wikipedia:Images). You seem aware of the user, and I was wondering what you think. Should Fidha be reported to an admin? Psychotic Spartan 123 06:35, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
- @PsychoticSpartan123: Hey! I've warned the user about their move of Wikipedia:Images. Based on some of their created articles, I suspect it's more a lack of competence, rather than malicious intent. Please feel free to monitor the user, and report to WP:AIV after a level 4 warning. In cleaning up the users attempt to move their user page to the Wikipedia namespace, I've left CSD templates on the redirects which which should draw sufficient admin attention at this time. Hi I am very new to wiki. you have just deleted my page on Kumar Iyer. Can I start afresh and try to create a page on same topic with different/fresh content? Rish1m (talk) 05:29, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Rish1m: Hi! Please go to Wikipedia:Articles for creation and follow the process there. As I said on your talk page, you tried to contact Rick but ended up recreating the article page with no relevant content. TheDragonFire (talk) 06:14, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
