User talk:TheColdTruth
Hi, I am new to Wikipedia editing, but not new to Wikipedia itself. I finally decided to register, because I couldn't help but notice that numerous articles' POVs about Central Asia are changing entirely. Many truths are being deleting, many false facts are being passed through. It seems that everything that has to do with inequalities, human rights, corrupt governments, poor economic and social conditions, etc. are being replaced with terrorism "facts." One reading about anything about Central Asia will have no idea, whatsoever, about true conditions in there, but think that it is worse than Middle East. In reality people in Central Asia live in such conditions, that only thing in their minds is how to feed their children, and how to keep on living, and any violence they see is on TV, that is if they can afford one. Anyone who knows the true conditions in Central Asia, and reads Wikipedia for the first time about it will, instantly know that it is being censored. Now that I'm registered, and even though I don't have enough time to sit all day and write articles, I will help with articles on Central Asia, while maintaining neutral point of view, and not exaggerating anything on either sides (Government vs. the People), I hope that more people will take their time and help Wikipedia to be improved, not be censored.
Please feel free to leave me any messages you wish.
Hi
[edit]I've checked your edit history by coincidence! Can I make a friendly suggestion? If you want to assert your position, please refrain from editing other users' pages. And please try to communicate your valid contributions in a non-disruptive way. That way you wont get blocked and will have an opportunity to contribute to the issues you relate to.
I hope you are not offended by my friendly remarks. Your opinion on Terrorism in Kazakhstan page is welcomed. Please try to read the talk page first to get a grasp of the discussions. Feel free to contact me or any other editors involved in the dispute. I would also like to understand what specifically you dispute about Andijan events or other Uzbekistan related pages? Please leave a comment on the talk page about your position before making changes. thanks and welcome.cs 23:16, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- I am glad we have an understanding. here is a link you can go and register your dispute with that user [[1]]. I think there are a lot of things to discuss about Andijan events,
>but probably it does not qualify for a massacre.I completely agree it was a textbook example of state terror on innocent citizens. But massacre has a rather specific definition. My only concern is that there were armed people on both sides, anyway lets see how the discussion evolves.

Keep in touch, we will have a lot of things to be changed on Uzbekistan pages. cs 11:02, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
responsible use of tags
[edit]I left a note on the talk page of an article you keep putting an {{NPOV}} tag on.
Please use article's talk pages to convey your concerns to other editors.
Cheers! -- Geo Swan 20:29, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for reminding me that. I was working on Central Asian articles that do not have a NPOV. At that time I was working on Andijan Massacre, I will be contributing to the rest as I have more time. TheColdTruth 21:30, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
thanks
[edit]yeah, Andijan massacre is a lot better thanks to Djma and Ted. I was just complaining on the talk page. I added a State terrorism section to Terrorism in Uzbekistan which needs urgent expansion. I have a lot of stuff to put in that section, but almost no time to do it. It should start from early 1990s when Pulatov got beaten and Birlik, Erk members were harrassed, and threatened. There have been prominent writers, politicans died in the prisons. All should be registered there. When you have time, try to add some content, I will check and work on them later. I am incredibly busy nowadays. Kazakhpol has a RfC, I gave the link above, where you can add your opinion if you have any problems with him. regards. cs 21:55, 12 March 2007 (UTC) BTW, dont get intimidated by other users' warnings. Newcomers make the most valuable contributions. If you see a problem, try to solve it. If it is a major problem, put a tag. That is legitimate, but also try to improve the article and give a reason on the talk page. Experienced users will try to scare you away, be bold.cs 22:25, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

NPA warning
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, we remind you not to attack other editors. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. –Llama mantalkcontribs 00:57, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- You attacked User:KazakhPol here. –Llama mantalkcontribs 21:42, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'll keep your advice in mind, however my comment was solely directed at Djma12 and in no way meant to personally attack, harm, offend or threaten KazakhPol. However, it has been noted here [2] that KazakhPol is pushing his own POV, hence my comment on propaganda. Again thank you for reminding me a useful advice, which I will certainly keep in mind.TheColdTruth 22:02, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- I will second Llama man here, the barnstar you gave reads like a personal attack which has no place on userpages or on wikipedia in general, if you have an issue with User:KazakhPol might I suggest dispute resolution, regards Ryanpostlethwaite contribs/talk 00:34, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Might I point you here (its under the header your barnstar if it doesn't go there automaticlly, I've offered a suggestion which I think you may like to consider Ryanpostlethwaite contribs/talk 17:03, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

The New Central Asia project page
[edit]Hi
I revised (a bit radically) the navigation system of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Central Asia. The old page was a mess. You are a member of the project, I would appreciate if you would compare with the old page and give a feedback on the talk page. Thanks. cs 22:00, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
Caspian Sea related issue
[edit]Hello, nice to meet you. I'm trying to make an aricle Draft:Protocol on Land-Based Sources of Pollution, which is now a draft, waiting to be reviewed. (This is a protocol of the Framework Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Caspian Sea.) As you are a member of the Central Asia WikiProject, could you help me to accelerate the process of reviewing? Or tell me what should I do...? Thank you a million times.
