Verifiability
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to this encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to David Rundblad, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. See the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia constructively. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Freshfighter9talk 15:05, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
Jason Spezza photo
[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions. It is a nice photo of Spezza, but unfortunately, Wikipedia has strict rules regarding the use of copyrighted images (WP:NFCC). In this case specifically, we cannot accept copyrighted photos of living people, unless the image is of a historic moment that can be justified under both American Fair Use provisions and the NFCC policy I linked. A simple image of a player posing is not sufficient. If you are able to take a picture of Spezza (or any other player) yourself and are willing to release it under a compatible license, that would be an image we could use. Also, since Wikimedia Commons explicitly cannot accept copyrighted images that have not been released under a free license, I will be nominating these uploads for deletion. This is not a criticism of you, as our image use policies can be difficult to understand at first. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on my talk page. Thanks, Resolute 23:44, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
- I just wanted to get back to you since you left a message on my talk page. I don't think I could say it better than Resolute has, so I won't try. Just know that when I reverted your edits it was simply because the images had obvious copyright issues, and it was nothing personal. Freshfighter9talk 16:25, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
