Belatedly contested PROD
Hello, Pesky Commoner. I was very alarmed to read above of your health problems. Life must be pretty miserable, to put it mildly. I came hear to mention that an article that you PRODded and that was subsequently deleted has now been restored on request from another editor. The article is Evolution (Magnum album), and your PROD was dated 27 September 2011, so you probably don't remember it, and you may quite possibly not care, but I regard it as matter of courtesy to inform an editor when their PROD is overturned in this way. It is entirely up to you, of course, whether you follow this up at AfD. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:00, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

Encouragement
Did you know ...
- ... that the song "Ermutigung" by Wolf Biermann, encouraging people not to become hardened in hard times, was written for Peter Huchel, then under house arrest?
- that Louisa Venable Kyle wrote a children's book on The Witch of Pungo ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:55, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours. ```Buster Seven Talk 19:33, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
Hallo
Hi Pesky, thinking of you as I edit from a Brockenhurst hotel room during annual post-Christmas visitation to family. Hope the pain control is improved, the snake is well and there is still pleasure to be had from life and ponies. Good luck for 2014. PamD 09:07, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
Hey Pesky...
The Meermin slave mutiny is set to be on the front page again tomorrow, and it made me think of you: still missing you! I very much hope you're doing what you want to do in Peskyland. Nortonius (talk) 14:50, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
New Forest Pony recognised as not being a unicorn
BBC News says, "The New Forest pony has been classed as a rare breed by an animal charity. The Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST) listed the pony in its minority breed category on its watch-list, for equines with up to 3,000 breeding females. There are now fewer than 3,000 breeding mares in the forest and last year just 423 foals were born - compared to 1,463 five years ago. The New Forest Pony Breeding and Cattle Society said a declining market for horses meant fewer were bred. It said this had led to a narrowing of the gene pool."
Actually, you knew all this already, it's just that the BBC is normally one of the most reliable sources. Anyway, there you have it. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 00:20, 21 February 2014 (UTC)

WikiWolfcub
I assume that the Wolfcub was your idea.
Hopefully I'm right! Thank you, because I think it was a good idea. So good that I would imagine that there are other wolfcubs out there, and I invite you, as the creator of the page, to check out a metting place I made for said WikiFauna.
Enjoy! Meeting Den

Memories in the Meermin...
The Meermin slave mutiny was on the front page again this year and got 8,078 views! That's about half what it got last year, maybe because whoever looks at the front page remembered looking at it then, but still considerable for such an obscure piece of history – I just thought I'd share that with your talk page, and just maybe you'll see it... Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hey!
The Meermin's on the main page again today – and I'm still trying to keep it ship-shape and not to mess it up too much! While you are most definitely not forgotten, this is the kind of occasion that always makes me think of you! Nortonius (talk) 12:12, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
You engaged
User:New york art editor regarding her/his edits, including at Markus Rothkranz. That editor appears not to be the title subject himself, nor to be too closely connected, but does support the continued existence of that article. If you have any opinion (with the sorry state of that article), given your knowledge of the original editor, please speak up at Talk, for that article. Meermin on the main page again
This time it got 5,546 views, not as many as before but then it's been there for a few years now so maybe people are skipping it.[1] It's still a gripping story, though. Thinking of you, obviously. Nortonius (talk) 00:17, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
