[==File permission problem with File:Entrance to the Airborne and Special Operations Forces Museum.jpg== These additions were to improve the ASOM site for Wikipedia and its users, not to improve it for ASOM so much since they have a full website. This is my typical "critic" rant. If you can't "do", then teach. If you can't create, critique. I explained the submissions and ownership and its public access as per the submission form and you shot it down. So Wikipedia's ASOM data will be lacking, so congratulations for a job well done.

Hello

[edit]

I'm contacting you in regards to an article, Fenix, North Carolina, which is a formerly unincorporated community outside of Fayetteville, North Carolina (of which you are one of the [recent contributors]). You see, Fenix is not very notable and has since been annexed by Fayetteville but still may warrant a mention within the article for Fayetteville. I was going to create a redirect but I wanted to talk to one of the editors of the Fayetteville article and see if you felt that it would be necessary to transclude any of the information into the redirect point. Please reply on my talk page or here, whichever you prefer. Kindest regards, Ncboy2010 (talk) 15:51, 6 September 2012 (UTC) In reply to this article regarding Fenix.....it does not exist. The only reason still exists is laughable because it was a NGS benchmark (BM) and nothing else existed in this area, but due to the higher elevation it was a commonly used BM to survey from. Surveyors develop information for maps, so they continually included this information to assist fellow surveyors. The BM is missing as per Geocaching.com folks who have searched for the BM named Fenix. They think it was destroyed during highway repaving or something. So my answer to you would be, delete the information. There might have once been a community here due to nearby (350M) Lake Rim, but there are only a few privately owned homes and trailers on parcels of land by a road junction of Reilly Road and Raeford Road. The FENIX sign is odd though and I can't yet find information regarding the purpose of its existence.[reply]

Thank you, I appreciate your input and I'll be requesting the article to be deleted shortly. Ncboy2010 (talk) 13:54, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:A picture of Iron Mike statue in front of the Airborne Special Ops Museum.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:A picture of Iron Mike statue in front of the Airborne Special Ops Museum.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 11:55, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is a Photo taken by the ASOF Museum and available on their site. It is available to the public and authorized for distribution. Please try to focus your efforts where they are needed more. The money donated to wikipedia needs to be justified and there are numerous areas where political leanings and bias are still not being addressed. Thank you. Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete or generic . Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact source (such as web page, or printed document) where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Wikiacc () 21:17, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
