As I said on Talk:Islam, the subject of slavery in Islamic teaching is exhaustively covered in Islamic views on slavery. It is not, however, appropriate to include the same information in the "Family Life" section of Islam, because that implies that slavery is typical or accepted in Islamic families today. Nobody is trying to keep the information about what the Quran says on slavery out of Wikipedia; it's rather a matter of undue weight in the placement of the information.
