License tagging for Image:Karlsson bottle.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Karlsson bottle.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:06, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi Just wondering if you could re-take the photo with a more standardised size reference - say a box of matches or a 30-cm/foot ruler? As it is - the glass, hence the bottles, could be any size. It would go well on beer bottle if there was a standardised point of reference for the size. Garrie 04:08, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Adoption Request
[edit]Hi. I see you have requested adoption and I am seeking to adopt. Please take a look at my userpage and see if I am a good fit to be your mentor. If you agree to be adopted by me, then let me know on my talk page by clicking the "+" symbol at the top of the page and letting me know. If not, I would still be glad to answer any questions you have at any time. Welcome to Wikipedia! --MECU≈talk 15:49, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi again. I saw your note about leaving comments at the top of the your talk page. That's fine, but most people are so in the habit (like me) of putting new things on the bottom of a talk page it probably won't happen much. You could setup your talk page for automatic archiving once per day so that it doesn't become too large. I've seen other users actually remove a comment on their talk page once they read it or respond to it. This is less preferred, but valid as well. This is your user talk page, so you can run it how you wish. But for the rest of Wikipedia, you'll have to get used to it I guess. One thing you could do, is look at the history of a talk page by clicking the "history" tab of and using the "last" feature. I do this quite often on my watchpage. Combined with Popups it's much easier to see what's been added.
- I also saw your request for help with the images on your userpage and putting those images into the articles. Instead of me doing that, I just made them image display, so you could just cut and paste those images into the articles where you feel appropriate. THE resource for learning about images is at Wikipedia:Images. But a quick rundown on a few items to help get you started: to make a link to another item in Wikipedia, you just put [[ brackets ]] around it like this: [[Beer]] would link to the Wikipedia article about beer and look like this: Beer. To link off of Wikipedia, which is fairly rare, but useable in other instances, you just use one bracket and the URL, a space and what you want the link text to say, so this: [http://www.google.com Link to Google] looks like this: Link to Google. You can see the little arrow is a signal the link goes off Wikipedia. Images are just like linking to other Wikipedia articles, except you just put Image: and the filename. You then use pipes, |, to provide some variables, like the width (you can't control the height directly), if it should float left, right, center, if it should be "frame"d, or "thumb"ed. This and the Images link above should be enough to get you rolling. If you have more questions about anything, let me know. Good luck! --MECU≈talk 14:24, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Username
[edit]Hi Textbot, unfortunately your username contravenes WP:Username, an official policy. Editors are not permitted to use names which:
"..imply bot accounts, potentially but not necessarily including "Bot", "Robot", "Script", "Initialize", "Automated", "Daemon", etc., unless the name is intended as a designated bot. Names that imply bot accounts may be blocked, and the user may be requested to contact an administrator to confirm that the account is indeed a bot account."
It would appear that your account is not a bot and consequently falls afoul of this policy. This account will shortly be blocked, you can start a new account, or visit Wikipedia:Changing username to find out more about changing names. Please carefully follow the instructions if you try the latter option. Thanks, Deizio talk 23:17, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
