Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Cwrsync, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.softsea.com/review/cwRsync.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) CorenSearchBot (talk) 13:41, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In addition to the above, the article was written in a way that was clearly intended to promote the use of Cwrsync. For example, "It requires no special privileges for installation. You must, however, have a working ssh system." This is the reason for deletion. Also, I recommend you read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest just to be on the safe side. Deb (talk) 22:08, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Cwrsync has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unremarkable software, only references are primary sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RadioFan (talk) 23:50, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

October 2012

[edit]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Mehmed II, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. SudoGhost 22:53, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for trying to keep Wikipedia free of vandalism. However, one or more edits you labeled as vandalism, such as the edit at Mehmed II, are not considered vandalism under Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia has a stricter definition of the word "vandalism" than common usage, and mislabeling edits as vandalism can discourage newer editors. Please read Wikipedia:NOTVAND for more information on what is and is not considered vandalism. Thank you. SudoGhost 23:05, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Aside from misusing the term vandalism, if you do not use an edit summary when you remove content, do not be surprised when someone reverts your unexplained removal of content; explaining why you made the edit helps greatly. - SudoGhost 23:09, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "Nagwin"

[edit]

A page you created, Nagwin, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is obvious advertising or promotional material.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Mdann52 (talk) 09:48, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
