Hi Tessadfr! I just checked your draft for the Sumie Tanaka article at Draft:Sumie Tanaka. Here are some of my comments:

I like the way you organized your information, the structure and order make sense. However, because the citations have not been included yet, it's difficult for me to link the information with where they come from at this point. You seem to have a good balance between academic and non-academic sources from what I can see, but there are a few of them that I'm not sure are reliable enough for a Wikipedia article:

http://celebrities.wiki/celebrity/sumie-tanaka http://www.jpf.go.jp/e/project/culture/archive/domestic/movie/fsp8-2.html http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/store/movies/principal/0,,2176877,00.html http://www.allcinema.net/prog/award_top.php?num_a=41 http://mydramalist.info/person/32459/tanaka_sumie

It depends on which type of information you are pulling out of these texts, but if you already have access to these information in another one, then I don't think they are necessary.

In the Bungakuza Theatre section, there is a double "the" at some point, you could write "based on her own experience", and use "work" instead of plays to avoid repetition.

In the Career section, you could add the link to the Cinema of Japan wiki page for the Golden Age, so that people can know more about Japanese Cinema's history. You can also add a link to the Mikio Naruse page, and right after her name the name of Kinuyo Tanaka seems out of place.

Also, just to note, at some points the first name and last name of directors or actresses are switched around. It's better to choose and stick to one writing form, either the Western form with First name and then Last name, or the original Japanese form with Last Name followed by First Name.

I will keep you posted if I find some additional information that you could use for your page while doing my own research! BeeHime (talk) 17:05, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tessadfr!

I have just finished looking through your article for Sumie Tanaka, the information and research was really well done! Though, because the sources were not linked throughout the article it was difficult to relate the information to their original source.

A few grammatical errors I noticed were at one point the article switches from past to present tense, and back again (in the Personal Life section). I think it would be best to write in the past tense throughout. Also, there is an unnecessary repetition of the statement that Sumie Tanaka collaborated with Mikio Naruse and Kinuyo Tanaka. I think this sentence works best in the introduction paragraph rather then under the Career section. I will be going into your article to copy edit and correct these small errors.

Overall I think you did great research, I would recommend citing the sources at the end of the correlating sentences and believe doing this will greatly improve your article!
