Conflict of interest

[edit]

If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Niels petersen house, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. 3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

Username concerns

[edit]

While investigating the copyvio on the Eisendrath house article, I noted that the City of Tempe page has a link to the Tempe Historic Preservation Foundation, or Tempe HPF. Given that you've used the username Tempehp, it appears that your account may violate the username policy. Names of organizations are not allowable as usernames for any number of reasons: the appearance of official standing of the user, the appearance of the account serving more than a single user, or confusion if the user is not affiliated with the related group.

Given your edits, it appears you're probably trying to edit in good faith about historic properties in the Tempe area, but you've unknowingly created some articles that are unacceptable under Wikipedia guidelines. I invite you to reply here to clarify what, if any, affiliation you have with the Tempe Historic Preservation Foundation and what questions you have about the copyrights guidelines and editing in general. I look forward to your reply on this talk page. —C.Fred (talk) 16:21, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
