User talk:Temers

Just to let you know, I reverted your addition of a link to this category in Newcastle United F.C., as self-references should be avoided. Oldelpaso 12:06, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks for pointing that out and telling me. Do you reckon it would be okay to have a link to it in a 'See Also' area in the article, or shall I just leave it out completely? --Temers 15:16, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- That's a no-no too I'm afraid. Putting a note on the talk page as you have done is sufficient. Oldelpaso 15:43, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- Ok- thanks anyway. --Temers 15:49, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

Fair use images in lists
[edit]Hello, I see you have contributed your thoughts to Wikipedia talk:Fair use/Fair use images in lists. It's been dead for a while, but I have archived it and taken a new fresh start. I hope this time we will be able to achieve something as I have summarized the main points of both sides (feel free to improve them) and I call you to express your support or oppose on the concrete proposal that I have formulated. Thanks, Renata 02:14, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Stargate SG-1
[edit]Hi. Okay, thanks for taking the time to upload a new Stargate SG-1 screenshot, it was a hard choice I found to pick a certain moment to illustrate the episode, but I came to the conclusion that my version does illustrate it very well, primarily as it illustrates the the all mighty priors, who are well.. not so mighty now. Secondly when uploading a new image please use the "Upload a new version" (bottom of the image page) feature - this replaces the present image, but does not actually orphan the image. thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 15:08, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Angela_Montenegro.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Angela_Montenegro.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 12:33, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Zack Addy.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Zack Addy.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Zack Addy.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Zack Addy.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 16:14, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Stargate SG-1 S10E12 (Line in the Sand).jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Stargate SG-1 S10E12 (Line in the Sand).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:12, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with File:Jo O'Meara.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Jo O'Meara.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 16:19, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
