Please don't modify the Naidu article
[edit]Hi Telugu bidda, Please don't chnage the Naidu article to reflect Naiker.Naidu is the title used in andhra and Naiker is used in TN. So people may get confused.so leave those articles as it is.
Thanks, John Rambo 04:16, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
ok if that is what you want but the the fact is the naidu is just a title, it has nothing to to do with a caste, the word is a telugu derivitive of nayak, which in tamil is naicker, and in malyalam, nair, and oriya maratha is naik. so i just felt to be historicaly accuratet it should be presented as such. as you can see it is not in any way specific to a particular caste. wiki standards require neutrality and accuracy so i just felt it was appropriat to join all the different derivitives together with the actuall definition of what nayak was in order to explain it without bias.--Telugubidda (talk) 02:34, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
