[edit]Greetings! Are you still editing Wikipedia? I'm currently working on the Into the Pandemonium. I'll need some help in the near future, I'm planning to turn it into a Good article. Thanks! CalmonTellechea (talk) 13:16, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made here to ...And Justice for All (album), have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you to seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 04:41, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

Reference Errors on 24 January
[edit]Hello, I'm ReferenceBot. I have automatically detected that an edit performed by you may have introduced errors in referencing. It is as follows:
- On the List of groove metal bands page, your edit caused an unnamed parameter error (help). (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:19, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
- Dude, can you stop changing genres at Metallica albums? Please give it a break, I can't follow you around Wikipedia and revert your every disruptive edit.--Вик Ретлхед (talk) 11:35, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to change genres without discussion or sources, as you did at St. Anger, you may be blocked from editing. --Вик Ретлхед (talk) 01:51, 27 January 2014 (UTC)
The article 3-D (Wrathchild America album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable musical release. No evidence of awards, charting or in depth coverage in independent reliable sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stuartyeates (talk) 02:13, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
Possessed
[edit]Possessed is first-wave black metal, which grew out of the the thrash and OSDM scene, thank you very much. First wave black metal were a group of thrash and death metal bands (like Venom, Sodom, 666, Mercyful Fate, Hellhammer, Celtic Frost...) that employed 'satanic', 'occult', or 'evil' shock imagery, and eventually gave way to the second wave of black metal (Darkthrone, Mayhem, Emperor, et cetera). Possessed was a first wave black metal band. I've fixed it with an appropriate reference. Please research before you edit. --OCCullens (talk) 21:43, 28 July 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Vulgar Display of Power, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Radiopathy •talk• 06:20, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
Please refrain from changing genres, as you did to Motörhead, without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. Radiopathy •talk• 06:22, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to change genres without discussion or sources, as you did at Shot in the Dark (song), you may be blocked from editing. Radiopathy •talk• 04:02, 9 August 2014 (UTC)
This is the final warning that you will receive regarding continued genre changing without discussion or sources. If you choose to continue, as you did at Slayer, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.--Retrohead (talk) 11:16, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
Note
[edit]I've reverted all your arbitrary genre changes on heavy metal bands. If you wish to constructively edit Wikipedia, you're more than welcomed. However, if you continue with unproductive edits, you might be blocked from editing.--Retrohead (talk) 12:01, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
- I've properly sourced the genres in Slayer yet you've reverted my edit. Teh Thrasher (talk) 19:04, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
- Nothing in the sources defined Slayer as groove or nu metal band. The references said that one album, Diabolus in Musica, had some of those influences, but not that the band is grove/nu metal. Album genres should be reflected in their proper articles, not in the band's infobox.--Retrohead (talk) 20:14, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
- Okay, I'm sorry. I thought that the genres should have stayed, as the band was associated with these genres in the album.-Teh Thrasher (talk) 20:19, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
- No worries, this happened to me when I was beginning on Wiki. I'm sorry if you found yourself offended by my revert. The most important thing is to have fun editing Wikipedia, but also respecting the rules. I'm sure you'll be a great contributor to the heavy metal articles. See you.--Retrohead (talk) 20:22, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks dude.-Teh Thrasher (talk) 20:24, 9 September 2014 (UTC)

By the way...
[edit]Nice job on correcting Metallica's genre description in the album & song articles. I don't watch those pages, and they often get "genre treated". I see we got similar musical tastes, so I'm looking forward collaborating with you. I wanted to ask, since you seem to visit often the metal band's articles, can you watch the genre's accuracy? You know, revert any arbitrary made edits, and encourage discussion if you notice a developing edit war.--Retrohead (talk) 21:48, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll do the best I can.-Teh Thrasher (talk) 21:53, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
Re: Albums/lead/nationality
[edit]It's good that you brought it up, actually. It's been a bugbear of mine for many years and I've been meaning to make a discussion about it, but kept putting it off. Now's as good a time as any, so come and discuss. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 20:57, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Schizo Deluxe may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

A barnstar for you!
[edit]The Copyeditor's Barnstar | |
For your work on improving Fear Factory. I nominated the article for further copyediting, but I think you did a decent job there. Retrohead (talk) 15:22, 1 November 2014 (UTC) |
Wow! well, I didn't really expect the barnstar, but thanks a lot! tbh I was about to continue improving the article, but I guess that my job here's done. If you want any further help then be sure to hit me up at my talkpage. And again , thanks a lot for the barnstar!-Teh Thrasher (talk) 18:57, 1 November 2014 (UTC)
- Hey Teh, I wanted to know if you would mind reversing to the oldest version of the article before the copyeditor goes through it. I see there was quite a bit of material removed, which might be tweaked rather than removed.--Retrohead (talk) 16:38, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- Sure, I already did it.-Teh Thrasher (talk) 17:27, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
FAC for xx (album)
[edit]Hi! Since you have experience editing music articles, would you be interested in giving a review or commenting at my FAC for the article xx (album)? Dan56 (talk) 17:44, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
- To be honest, I'm still not THAT experienced in editing music articles, but yeah, I'll try my best.-Teh Thrasher (talk) 17:53, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
RE: xx (album) FAC
[edit]Hi! Could you make a follow-up comment at my FAC for xx (album)? As I originally suspected, it has been found that the now-blocked sock Rationalobserver (Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Jazzerino) had held a grudge against me and opposed the first and second FAC with bogus claims of plagiarism in order to spite me. If you are neutral on the FAC, please clarify it there. Thank you! Dan56 (talk) 06:13, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
- Just as you say, I'm completely neutral to the FAC.-Teh Thrasher (talk) 08:12, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

Black Sabbath
[edit]Hi, why did you do this? Have you read Black Sabbath? I don't understend why someone wrote it's rock. The album is metal and Black Sabbath is "clasical"-old-school heavy metal band. So: why have you reverted? Corvus-TAU (talk) 15:13, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
- Consensus has been reached for the genre of BS to be "rock" and not "heavy metal". As long as they are a rock band (according to Black Sabbath's article), all albums must also reflect that.-Teh Thrasher 15:42, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
- Eng wiki is funny. All the albums are "Heavy metal", while the band labeled rock. The genre of Rock band is Heavy Metal? Absurd, but if you insist I won't bother. Corvus-TAU (talk) 16:02, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
- BS is generalized as a rock band because they played a variety of other genres besides only heavy metal, but they're mainly a heavy metal band.-Teh Thrasher 16:05, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
Master of Puppets FAC
[edit]Hey Teh, I re-nominated Master of Puppets for FA because it lacked comments the previous time. Here's the FA criteria, and your comments/vote at the nomination page woud be much appreciated. All the best.--Retrohead (talk) 08:25, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

Friend
[edit]The Pantera article is really awful for its presentation of editor opinion instead of the standard music content, which normally presents and cites reviews and news articles about the band and its work. I have placed a couple of tags. Since you are a logged editor, I wanted to alert you. I think the whole of it should be trashed, and the article started over using the few sources that appear (although this can be done section by section, so the article appearance is not disrupted). Bottom line, most material in the article is WP:OR, and not encyclopedic. Le Prof 50.129.227.141 (talk) 20:41, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 21
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited River Runs Red, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Heavy metal. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
