Welcome

Hi Teeb,
- I consider this a legitimate category as much as "Best Actor Academy Award Winners", "Hollywood Walk of Fame", "Grammy Winners", and dozens of other such categories. I admit it was perhaps set up wrong but I did not know how to set it up otherwise and distingush between current members, deceased members, and former members which I feel is important. If anyone can move the names properly inside the actual category and can seperate the three groups, be my guest.
All I think is required is for you to create the article List of Grand Ole Opry members and fill it with material currently at Category:Grand Ole Opry members. The category may then be deleted without loss of information. You could then add List of Grand Ole Opry members to the "See also" section at the bottom of each member's article (or begin said section). Best wishes, David Kernow 10:16, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
What You Have You Contributed to
[edit]Teeb, I am so happy that you have created all those articles on country music singers. I think that it is very important that people should know about these legendary singers because they were very revolutionary to their time period. I have greatly contributed to your articles, especially Goldie Hill. If you can please reply back to me on my talk page by logging on to my user name listed here. I also wanted to know if you put all of Connie Smith's singles into that single box because if you did, you have to change the title of it from Greatest Hits to something else because it sounds more like an album. Edit summary
[edit]Shannernanner 13:08, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for replying back to me Teeb. And yes, I am the one who added the pop space to Dottie West's but I was hoping that you knew her chart numbers. I am very surprised that her songs didn't go to the pop charts that much. I think there might be a WikiProject you could belong to that I have signed up for. It is called WikiProject:Country Music, which helps create better Country music articles about country singers and anything having to do with country music. Again thanks, for replying back to me!! (LovePatsyCline 19:37, 3 October 2006 (UTC))
A Reply To You
[edit]Thanks for the firendly advice. I was hoping though that the user who contacted me would help me and reply back to me. He has blamed for mistakes that I didn't make for Patsy Cline. He thinks I wrote her entire article, however I did not. Could you reply back for possibly some advice? (LovePatsyCline 15:02, 6 October 2006 (UTC))
Orphaned fair use image (Image:Edna2.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Edna2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:51, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Non-free use disputed for Image:1-fog2.jpg
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:1-fog2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 03:34, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Ahugh.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Ahugh.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 02:32, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:Ahugh.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Ahugh.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:32, 28 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 02:32, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Lizcowgirl.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Lizcowgirl.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Lizcowgirl.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Lizcowgirl.jpg. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Teeb! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 4 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- James Wilcox - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Tommy Overstreet - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Lawanda Lindsey - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Juanita Quigley - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

The article Madeleine B. Stern has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Falcon8765 (talk) 00:03, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
The article Legends of Hollywood has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No notability.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The article Rory Bourke has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
Kudpung (talk) 22:17, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
References are now added.
moving Linda Hargrove
[edit]I think I put this article at Linda Hargrove (songwriter) because there is a Linda Hargrove who is/was a women's basketball coach who I thought would probably get an article at some point. But, I suppose we can cross that bridge when we come to it... Brianyoumans (talk) 00:42, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Please check your links. You were linking to Mike Reid, which is a disambiguation page. Mike Reid (American football) is the right link. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 17:47, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
