Speedy deletion of Ryan Matthews(musician,band)

Hi, I find that if the original author has blanked the page it's just as easy to replace the content with {{db-author}}. I have done this with the above article. -- roleplayer 22:37, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

I find though that it assumes good faith with the originating author. They are making an attempt at removing non-notable material, therefore it shows good faith to accept their attempt and mark the article as {{db-author}}, rather than berating them for removing speedy templates. I think the latter method bites the newbies a bit too much. -- roleplayer 22:55, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

Regarding Michèle Torr - References are not external links:

"1.This guideline does not apply to inline citations or general references, which should appear in the "References" or "Notes" section." Quote/Unquote108.102.226.96 (talk) 23:05, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

Please read Wikipedia:COPYLINK#Linking_to_copyrighted_works. Even if you cite a link, it's still a link to a website, plus there are copyright concerns when linking to videos where the person doesn't have permission to post. Techman224Talk 23:23, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
So basically you deleted my reference and cited a rule which didn't apply, and now you've found a new rule, and think maybe it applies instead. Why not just make a comment on the article discussion page, rather than just fly around the wiki deleting stuff?? I may agree with you if you cite the right rule, but when you just start deleting stuff with the wrong rule, it is just abuse.108.102.226.96 (talk) 23:33, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
Since you gave me two messages, I will answer both, first, Google Maps isn't a problem because they have permission from other companies to use their data and also have permission to use it on their website for everyone. Second, if you don't agree with me, you can discuss it on the article talk page or get a Wikipedia:Third opinion. Thanks for your concerns. Techman224Talk 00:00, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
