[edit]Your edits to Tonye Princewill are unacceptable. If nothing else, they are a stylistic mess. They don't comply with Wikipedia's policies or guidelines. Please don't make any further changes to the article until you learn more about Wikipedia and editing here. You can ask questions at the WP:Teahouse.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:11, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Tonye Princewill, you may be blocked from editing. If you persist in disruptively editing the article rather than following my advice above, you risk being blocked. Bbb23 (talk) 16:49, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Tebek EU. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Tonye Princewill, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Bbb23 (talk) 16:49, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- You've admitted on my Talk page that your edits were requested by the "owner" of the article. I assume you mean the subject of the article? No one owns articles at Wikipedia. In any case, you have an obvious conflict of interest, and you therefore must follow the instructions in the notice above, including not editing the article at all but requesting edits on the article Talk page. If you don't and you continue to edit the article, I'll block you.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:59, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for your prompt response. I won’t deny that I’m an amateur wiki article writer so please where can I find the link so I don’t get blocked? Tebek EU (talk) 17:34, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:
- Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
- State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
- Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.
Unblock
[edit]Tebek EU (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Please unblock as my editing the article in question is voluntary and not paid as I asked the subject, Tonye Princewill, for a chance to regain my writing prowess. I own up to the fact that I’m an amateur but I’d be grateful for assistance as I mean no harm to the reputation of Wikipedia or the subject himself Tebek EU (talk) 18:34, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
Decline reason:
That indicates you have an undisclosed conflict of interest, which you have still not properly disclosed. Yamla (talk) 19:05, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Assistance needed with Unblocking/COI
[edit]Hello Yamia. Thanks for your feedback. Please how can I rectify this problem as I cannot access my account and the subject of the article in question asked me to help edit it. I need help because I don’t really understand the technical language for COI etc. If you don’t mind, at least for now, I’m not getting paid so I’m confused. Please assist me. Thanks Tebek EU (talk) 08:53, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- We aren't interested in you editing on behalf of the subject of the article. As this appears to be your only goal here, this is the end of the line. --Yamla (talk) 10:29, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hello again. Apologies for being a nuisance but we learn everyday and I want to appeal to you if there’s a way to wait out the blocking so that when unblocked, I can learn how to properly edit Wikipages. Please I’d really be grateful if you can explain this. Thank you Tebek EU (talk) 10:37, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- It’s not my only goal but if I can learn how because not all stuff can be learned via YouTube Videos. I just need help. I don’t want to ask another to do the editing because who knows if the same problem might be encountered? Tebek EU (talk) 10:40, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
