I knew the article was far from perfect yet and I'm glad I got your insight on it as well. Thank you! Tds018 (talk) 02:10, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

- Hi Diannaa, I appreciate you reviewing the article I've been working on recently. I'm terribly sorry, I didn't realize this would be a copyright violation. As far as the source it says I obtained my information from, I've never seen the pdf before. I know the website where I obtained the information from shares the same information from the pdf. I'm editing the article for my final project for my biology course. Could you clarify more what I did specifically and is there any way I could contact an administrator about this? Thank you. Tds018 (talk) 19:04, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hello Tds018. I am a Wikipedia administrator. It's not unusual for the same text to be present in multiple locations online. You can view the overlap using Earwig's tool. In addition to the overlapping content, there's a lot of too-close paraphrasing. I see you've started a rewrite so I will keep an eye on that. Let me know when you think you are finished. — Diannaa (talk) 00:50, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Tds018. You can see the full iThenticate report here (you need to be logged in to the Dashboard for that link to work). While you made some small changes to the sentences, you need to completely re-write them in your own words. There's a more detailed explanation at Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing, if you're interested. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:04, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Ian, I greatly appreciate the Wikipedia administration reviewing the article. I understand I made mistakes with the paraphrasing, and I will be sure to follow the Wikipedia guidelines more thoroughly and diligently. Tds018 (talk) 16:47, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
