Hello, Tdean1234, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Lewy body dementia

[edit]

Hi, Tdean1234. I am copying to here a message that I left for Hvonruden13 several days ago and to which I have received no response:

Hello, Hvonruden13; I noticed you just tagged Lewy body dementia for course work, and wanted to make sure you were aware of the distinction between Lewy body dementia (LDB) and dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), so your work would not be for naught. DLB is a featured article, so is already comprehensive-- that is, it says everything that Wikipedia needs to say about DLB, while LBD is only an umbrella term that includes DLB and Parkinson's disease dementia, which is also fairly complete. It is hard to see what you might add to LBD because it is just a term that covers two other articles, and we need not repeat information. Please be sure to read dementia with Lewy bodies as you plan your work.

Also, please be sure to be aware of Wikipedia's sourcing standards for medical content.

Please let me know if I can be of any help; I have this page watchlisted, so will see your responses here.

I have replaced your edit for several reasons. First, you used a primary source when multiple secondary reviews are available. Second, the numbers are not that clear; everyone says something slightly different. Third, you added content that is not stricly Epidemiology (see Wikipedia's medical manual of style) and that is repeated information that is more correctly covered in other articles. @Maxel Ruptor, Helaine (Wiki Ed), and Ian (Wiki Ed):; perhaps you can help get some attention from this course, as LBD is a frequent target of edits that belong better at DLB or PDD. Hello SandyGeorgia, Thank you for your help and suggestions. Sorry for the late response, but I did read your message. I hope I took into consideration what you said and made the right corrections. I hope you like our article now that it is complete. Thank you again for your help!
