Your HighBeam account is ready!
[edit]Good news! You now have access to 80 million articles in 6500 publications through HighBeam Research. Here's what you need to know:
- Your account activation code has been emailed to your Wikipedia email address.
- Only 407 of 444 codes were successfully delivered; most failed because email was simply not set up (You can set it in Special:Preferences).
- If you did not receive a code but were on the approved list, add your name to this section and we'll try again.
- The 1-year, free period begins when you enter the code.
- To activate your account: 1) Go to http://www.highbeam.com/prof1; 2) You’ll see the first page of a two-page registration. 3) Put in an email address and set up a password. (Use a different email address if you signed up for a free trial previously); 4) Click “Continue” to reach the second page of registration; 5) Input your basic information; 6) Input the activation code; 7) Click “Finish”. Note that the activation codes are one-time use only and are case-sensitive.
- If you need assistance, email "help at highbeam dot com", and include "HighBeam/Wikipedia" in the subject line. Or go to WP:HighBeam/Support, or ask User:Ocaasi. Please, per HighBeam's request, do not call the toll-free number for assistance with registration.
- A quick reminder about using the account: 1) try it out; 2) provide original citation information, in addition to linking to a HighBeam article; 3) avoid bare links to non-free HighBeam pages; 4) note "(subscription required)" in the citation, where appropriate
- HighBeam would love to hear feedback at WP:HighBeam/Experiences
- Show off your HighBeam access by placing {{User:Ocaasi/highbeam_userbox}} on your userpage
- When the 1-year period is up, check applications page to see if renewal is possible. We hope it will be.
Thanks for helping make Wikipedia better. Enjoy your research! Cheers, Ocaasi t | c 21:03, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Tchoř

An award from us (and the signpost :-) )
[edit]The Signpost Barnstar | ||
This month the Signpost said that the Gibraltar project was a " ludicrously productive GLAM project". Thank you for helping us with that achievement. We have got behind with the barnstars so this is one to say thank you for helping. Gibraltarpedia.org is now showing the list of about 100 plaques - do take a look and see the languages (more Czech?) we will be featuring. Victuallers (talk) 21:51, 24 October 2012 (UTC) |
Thanks
[edit]Hi Tchoř
I just wanted to say thanks for all the work you've put into Gibraltar related articles, I've recently been uploading a lot of photos, if you've looked for something recently and haven't found it I may have uploaded it, lots more to come too. Also I'm working on some 3d things too like this one, if you have any suggestions of things I could try to do please let me know.

GibraltarpediA competition deadline approaching
[edit]Dear Tchoř
The GibraltarpediA competition deadline is fast approaching on December the 26th, thank you for all your hard work. The response has been amazing, so far people have created over 500 new articles in 30 languages and added over 2000 new images.
We are writing a press release to highlight all the hard work the contributors have made, please would you fill out your section on the contributors page, telling people why you chose to contribute to the project. Please add as much or as little personal information as you feel comfortable with, it's the motivation and hard work that is essential not what you look like or where you live although that would be nice too.
Best wishes and thanks

Catalan culture challenge
[edit]Hello! I've seen that you joined the Gibraltarpedia challenge and I just wanted to inform you that From March 16 to April 15 we will be organising the Catalan Culture Challenge, a Wikipedia editing contest in which victory will go to those who start and improve the greatest number of articles about 50 key figures of Catalan culture. You can take part by creating or expanding articles on these people in your native language (or any other one you speak). It would be lovely to have an experienced player like you on board. We look forward to seeing you! Amical Wikimedia--Kippelboy (talk) 09:03, 11 March 2014 (UTC)
