Copyright issues

I'm sorry for coming down so hard on you. I'm sure the lyrics pages were legitimate mistakes. The pages will simply be deleted and provided you don't go about posting copyrighted pages elsewhere, it'll just be chalked up to an understandable mistake. Don't sweat it, everyone makes mistakes from time to time. I do advise that you read the guidelines on copyright, though, as some things that people think are fair to use may not be. Closed VfD pages

Please don't alter closed VfD/AfD discussions like you did on the Disney Channel songs list. It won't do anything useful and corrupts the database. There is a Votes for Undeletion channel you can go through if you feel that the article was wrongly deleted, but I rather doubt something with a more or less unanimous consensus for deletion is going to get restored. Well, I had no objection to the images themselves. They definitely look like they could belong in Wikipedia. What I was worried about was that you did not provide a copyright statement and since the images look very professional they led me to suspect that they might be copyrighted. (If they are we can't use them on Wikipedia, unless we are given permission by the copyright holder). Where did you get the images? Do you own them yourself or did you download them from a site? These things are (unfortunately) very important, since using copyrighted images without permission is illegal.

Re: Movies Rated PG

I think Category:Movies Rated PG is irrelevant because it is US-centric. A movie may have different ratings in other countries. Furthermore, how are you going to categorise a foreign movie that is rated PG in US — listing it under the rating in its original country or per US rating? Besides, in some countries, a movie may have two different ratings for its theatrical and DVD release. By the way, please don't remove the {{subst:cfd}} notice while the nomination is being considered. However, you are welcome to voice your objection here. Your revert of my edits to Most Wanted The Signature Edition

1. Please do not revert my introduction of a redirect to that article again. Most of the information in that article was already present on Most Wanted (Hilary Duff album). Like I said in my edit summary, there's no point whatsoever having the same information in two places. Closely related to this, they are essentially the same album: unless the main article became too big and had to be split off to reduce its size, there's no reason to have different articles on different versions of the same album. See In This Skin for an example of this.
2. Please use Template:Album infobox instead of raw syntax when editing album articles. It creates consistency among them, and is far easier to edit.
3. A lot of your edits do not conform to Wikipedia's manual of style. Please read the guidelines there. Other useful links to visit are The five pillars of Wikipedia, How to edit a page, Help pages, Tutorial and How to write a great article. Please consult Wikipedia:WikiProject Music and Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums also.

It's consensus; Tropical Storm Alpha got redirected to the main article. Tropical Storm Wilma also got redirected to the main article before it became huge. Let me rephrase myself. Wilma is no longer active, as the National hurricane Center has stopped issuing advisories. That is correct...the "Last storm dissipated" column is meant to determine when the last storm actually dissipated in the season. While the current date (October 25) is currently the date of the last storm, there are still 5 weeks left in hurricane season and 10 weeks left in 2005. True, Wilma is not active, but there are systems out there that could become Beta (and there could still be storms in November and - although unlikely - December). That should only be filled when the season/year is over and all storms have dissipated. CrazyC83 03:15, 26 October 2005 (UTC)

Also, I'm not sure about these path images you're uploading. They say copyrighted, but don't say by whom - which is equivalent to saying no source. First, read WP:CIVIL. I suspect the article you created was about a storm which did not cause any deaths or much damage at all, and that is what was considered in the creation of the Alpha article. PLEASE stop uploading hurricane images from Wunderground and associated sites. You're saying these are copyrighted images released by the author. There's no reason to get irate. All I said was, let's sit down like civilized people and discuss this. If your articles contain valuable information that doesn't exist on Southern United States, that information should be added to Southern United States. I don't think there is justification in creating a new set of articles just because you came up with a new way to divide the US. Re: 2005 Statistics

Thanks for liking the 2005 table. As for doing the previous years, I do NOT intend to do that at this time. However, what I can do instead is to create a toolkit for constructing them. This would be a set of templates that would be used to construct the table. An example can be seen in how the navigation button bar for the season is constructed. However, before I even do that I think that it would be wise to wait a few weeks and see how things settle out. That table is being updated in all sorts of interesting ways at this time, and until it has settled down doing the toolkit may not be a very good idea. (I am not interested in forcing people to edit templates to affect the table at this time. Later on they will be a powerful maintenance tool, but right now they will interfere with the finalization of the form of these tables.) --EMS | Talk 05:28, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

The request for comment that you were the subject of was addressing image copyright problems, so I suggest that you read Wikipedia:Fair use closely. Hi, sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to point out that according to Wikipedia:Fair use#Policy we are not allowed to use unfree (so called "fair use") images on (among other things) user pages (because they are only legal for strictly encyclopedic usage). I'm referring to the albumcovers in the list of CD's you own. Please either remove all such images from your user page, or replace them with free licensed alternatives. As you are clearly unwilling to WP:CITE chart positions, I ask you to please refrain from updating chart positions on any Wikipedia article. If you feel you have a valid citation for a chart position and you really wish to update the information on an article, please either post your planned change on the article's discussion page or track down another editor, provide them with the citation and chart position change, and verify it with them first. If you continue inserting chart figures without citing them, you may be blocked for your vandalism of articles. Okay, it turns out that the album charts were cited but you made a great number of changes to the Singles chart while only providing citations for the U.S. chart positions. You claim, for example, that Complicated hit #1 in Canada, #3 in the United Kingdom, and #1 in Australia. Your citation provides support for your claims for the U.S. chart position but does not cite the positions in the other countries. This is a step forward, Tcatron565, but it is still short of what editors are required to do. Further, I had already asked you not to update chart positions without tracking down an editor to run your changes past first. I think it is clear that you are trying here, but please understand that it is frustrating when we ask you over and over to do something and you simply refuse, often just ignoring our comments. --Yamla 03:44, 21 December 2005 (UTC)

You are right, I withdraw my complaint. I was expecting the citation to appear right by the chart position but you put it above (which is probably a better idea). As a suggestion because I am apparently blind, you may want to note in your Edit summary (the line edit just above the Save page button) that the chart position is cited at the top of the table.
