New disambig page

[edit]

Hello, I noticed you recently converted Economic Times from a redirect into a disambiguation page. I hope you have reviewed Wikipedia:Disambiguation, and particularly the section "Links to disambiguated topics" -- as it states there, "A code of honor for creating disambiguation pages is to fix all resulting mis-directed links. Before moving an article to a qualified name (in order to create a disambiguation page at the base name), click on What links here to find all of the incoming links. Repair all of those incoming links to use the new article name." The same basic principle applies when changing a base name from a redirect into a disambiguation page. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 12:31, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for notification

[edit]

I understand my contribution momentarily might have misled some readers or took more time to be in the right place. I will check as there's been said from next time Inshallah.

Thank you for uploading File:Tarique Rahman.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 09:20, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Tarique_Rahman.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Tarique_Rahman.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 13:12, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Logo of The 5th National Council of BNP.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Logo of The 5th National Council of BNP.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:06, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Bangladesh Nationalist Party Flag.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. A tag has been placed on বিষয়শ্রেণী:কমিউনিস্ট পার্টি অফ চায়নার নেতা, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Yasht101 :) 08:33, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nonfree content on your userpage

[edit]

Per the policies on the usage of non-free images on Wikipedia, non-free images are not allowed on pages outside of the article namespace, including userpages. Certain logos on your user page are copyrighted and unlicensed, so I had to remove them. I'm sorry if you are upset by my editing your page without your permission, but this is a rule where Wikipedia allows no exceptions. I want to make sure you know that this isn't personal. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, or to seek another editor's opinion at the WP:MCQ discussion board. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 18:00, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your "Sky" Article Photo

[edit]

Hello, May I suggest that you move your photo to the "Use within weather forecasting" heading down the page a bit. It would be much more relevant there. Also, as the photo there is only 19kb; you would be doing the viewers of the page a favor. You can also incorporate the text under that existing photo into your caption. "Marestail shows moisture at high altitude, signalling the later arrival of wet weather". I am sending you this message as a courtesty from one Photographer to another; because I am sure some 'SKY NUTCASE' will delete your photo from it's current spot before the week is out; because of it's placement and redundancy of the two photos looking and saying virtually the same thing. I'll be happy to do this move for you. Respectfully, Pocketthis (talk) 20:58, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The International Cast

[edit]

Hi, I reverted your addition of a "cast" section and I thought I should explain why. The information was already contained in the article succinctly and creating a new section consisting of an uncited list doesn't really seem to add much. There are no required sections in articles and since there is not really any interesting information to note there I don't think it should be included. Remember, it's an encyclopaedia not a fan website. Thanks for your interest and all your other work on film articles. Best, --Ktlynch (talk) 20:22, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 03:06, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
