User talk:Tattoodwaitress/draft ideas on Methadone maintenance
As a total outsider, here are some points I thought of as I read the article. Some of them might be good sections to plan for. Possible sections:
- Overview
- Legal issues
- History
- How it works physically
- Differences in treatment (I'm assuming not everybody does it the same everywhere)
- Adjuncts to, (if there are any)
- Around the world, or put this in the various sections where it applies. But it shouldn't just be about the US or N America.
- Controversies surrounding
- Alternatives
- Trends
- Research
If any of this helps. Tlqk56 (talk) 15:31, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
Excellent Thanks a bunch for
[edit]For your input it is much appreciated. I have been browsing the net today and ordering some publications that I can have in hand for future ref. I am excited about this and happy you are giving me some input. I have just enough time left today to paste these links to save them for further review. See ya soon hope you have a blessed day Ț♥ttØØdẄ♥itre§ 19:48, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
It (talkback notice) worked...
[edit]And you are welcome. I'm eager to see how I can help. Tlqk56 (talk) 20:42, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
- Ooooh glad it worked. I am thinking that sometimes I have a hard time wording things. I tend to get too wordy (cuz I love words) just like you... and I like to paint pretty pictures with them but somehow I think wiki writing is a little different? I got a 99.9 percent in my college creative writing class and my professor said "...in all my years of being a teacher I have only given out one 100 percent." So I guess creative writing is my thing. I don't always have the knack for the business or professional sort of bland writing. Am I making any sense? Since you are a writer I think you will be able to help a lot with this. You could rearrange, def check my grammar, and make sure things flow in the wiki way. Once I get some ideas put together I shall let you know. Crazy busy these days but I am liking doing something different with my skills. Good to learn. Oh I am really bad with commas and other punctuation sometimes too. Additional ideas for sections
[edit]I have thought of a few more ideas for sections or can be added to whats already there....
- Goal of treatment (more in depth)
- relapse
- facility licensing
- maintenance vs. abstinence?
- confidentiality

I guess the first thing to do is
[edit]I would guess that the first thing to do is come up with a layout for the article, I am looking for another word but can't for the life of me remember what it is... LOL It would kind of look like this:
- Title
- Lead Paragraph
- Section 1
- a.
- b.
- Section 2
- a.
- Section 3
- a.
- b.
- c.
- Section 1
- Last Paragraph
- Lead Paragraph
Outline??? Maybe that's it.......... I am going to read through "creating my first article again. Even though I am not the original creator I am sure the info will help quite a bit. 03:12, 17 June 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tattoodwaitress (talk • contribs) Darn it my memory is failing me today... forgot to sign two things this evening. - I wrote you a reply and it got lost. So if it shows up later you'll have two, ha=ha. Or maybe I put it in the wrong place and it will show up in the middle of an article about a kid's book! Anyway -- Your new sections look good. Here's a useful page, too. Wikipedia:Writing better articles An outline/layout plan will help you organize your notes, but that will probably change as you go along. Still, I wouldn't handle a project this big without one. Well, I'm off to bed. TTYL Tlqk56 (talk) 03:31, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

- Looks good, and like a big project. Let me know how I can help. :) Tlqk56 (talk) 15:21, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you and I was thinking that once I get a little bit of the info together for each section you could give the sections better titles for starters and then help me to use better sounding sentences that are not too wordy. You know I love words so it tends to be a problem. I have been so busy these past couple weeks but hey this article hasn't been touched much since it was written so that shouldn't be a problem. Thanks so much for the willingness to help. Have an awesome day. Ț♥ttØØdẄ♥itre§ 07:12, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
Another thought...
[edit]It occurred to me to remind you that, just because you've taken this massive revision on, you A) don't have to do it all at once and B) don't have to do it all yourself. It would be OK, for instance, to put up the sections you have info on and leave a message on the talk page saying you don't have enough info to write about ... and you're hoping someone else will. That's part of how WP works, after all. Hope you and yours are well. We had a bad scare here with my daughter, but it appears she's OK and I can breathe again. :) Tlqk56 (talk) 16:28, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
