Class Reflection

[edit]

This Wikipedia assignment taught me much about the importance the site has as a resource, both in terms of academia and otherwise. For my given article, I was surprised to see that there really wasn't much documentation I could find, but what I did revealed a rich history and narrative to my topic that appears to be seldom spoken of, especially in pertinence to interracial business partnerships during a time of discrimination and scorn against such a practice. My overall contributions do not touch on this as it does not pertain to the explicit subject of the Castle Walk, but it is something that I feel could be even more expanded upon for the articles of the Castles and Europe respectively, for onlookers. I would say that my understanding of how information is constructed as well as what discerns "importance" in the eyes of others has been changed much by this experience, even if I was reluctant about the concept at first.
