Do not understand the BLP issue you have; most BLP citations are because article is not sufficiently respectful of privacy of living people or makes an unfair point. Open to an explanation.

On the other hand, am REALLY REALLY REALLY uncomfortable with the selective editing of the "joke" that leaves. Although you CAN come up with racist implications, they aren't obvious on first readthrough, whereas the selective edit affirms a racist certainty that was not there in the original.
