Taproot Audio Design
[edit]You need to read WP:CORP and WP:COI before you try to recreate this article. It is also not necessary for every article to exist in a list. Some items may never be notable enough. Vegaswikian 05:43, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
How to write a Wikipedia article
[edit]Step 1: Get noticed by third parties. Rise above your field. Simply put, small, run-of-the-mill companies in any industry generally don't qualify as notable. Have some gold records in your discography. Be a prominent member of industry associations or your local chamber of commerce. News articles about you outside of industry rags or your local newspaper are very helpful. News articles in your local paper or industry rags are helpful if they show how you are not "just another company" or "just another recording studio" and are not regurgitated press releases. Not being notable is one of the biggest reasons to lose an deletion discussion.
Step 2: Using only information from third parties, create an initial article of at least start class. If you cannot get this far then stop.
Step 3: Flesh it out with material from primary sources such as your web site and press releases.
As for articles on other studios that don't make the grade, tag them with cleanup tags and wait for someone who isn't a competitor/doesn't have a conflict of interest to mark them for deletion via WP:PROD or WP:AfD. If in the process you find any weak articles that could be raised to start-class or higher using only 3rd-party information, then do so. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 23:23, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Impressed
[edit]Now you are on your way to a decent article. Please get article titles for those newspaper and magazine articles when you can. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 22:49, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Bulk changes can lead people to assume vandalism
[edit]It's a fact of life that if you make large changes to an article or delete an entire section, a fast-working recent-change-patroller or an automated bot may mistake it for vandalism. The best thing to do is just what you did: restore it and put the fact in the edit summary. When I do RC patrol I sometimes get a jaded eye and "if it looks like vandalism, assume it's vandalism." Please don't take it personally, it's just a sign of fatigue. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 23:53, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
