File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Manorama.acchi.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. — neuro(talk) 15:04, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kallar

[edit]

Heya,

I have no intention of deleting the article but I disagree that the Cholas or any of the others like Malayaman are Kallars. If you can post a source that says that the Cholas are Kallars then it'll be good. I've also broken Pallava-Chola theory as it is not true. You seem to come up short on the history of Athondai. Do you know what happened to him after karikala crowned him and left? So we can try and move forward if you can post some sources on the talk page. I will also try to dig up some sources. ShivNarayanan (talk) 06:23, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, of course! We, here, work on improving this encyclopedia, not on destroying it. Please add more refs to the article; especially on the claims that Kallars became impoverished on the arrival of the British and that the rule of Kallars in the Cauvery delta region ended when the region was conquered by the Vijayanagar Empire. If you cannot find enough references, I'll definitely help you.-The EnforcerOffice of the secret service 01:54, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
A Google Books search might probably be of help to find reliable new references. Alternately, you may also try the 7-volume Castes and Tribes of Southern India. You can also download the volume. Thanks-The EnforcerOffice of the secret service 02:05, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Shivnarayana

[edit]

I don’t know anything about attondai and can you give any reference for stating attondai As a son of Karikala in history, I am talking about Thondaiman Ilandarayan he was the first Thondaiman King who ruled thondaimandalam During Sangam period, there is lot of reference for his existence (Read Purananuru).

You keep on asking reference though I have given many, please mention for which you want reference exactly.

If Malayaman, Paluvetarayar, Melkondar or not Kallars, Please tell me anyone else using this Surnames.

Hereafter Please don’t delete anything. Mention your question (Please mention clearly exactly for what you want reference) in my talk page I will give you reference there are lot of reference available.

Your edits to Kallar page

[edit]

Your edits to Kallar page are unreasonable. I have explained my concerns on the Kallar talk page. Adding sources about Cholas or Pallavas or their marriages to other communties like "Malayaman" and insisting that you have added references makes me wonder if you are dodging the actual dispute. First provide sources that quote "the cholas are Kallars", "the Pallavas are Kallars", "the Pallavas were offshoot of Cholas", etc. This is the main dispute.
