Steven Avery
[edit]I have chosen not to do anything of significance to the Avery article, or to start articles for Brendan Dassey and Teresa Halbach because I am a distant relative of Halbach's. Probably around second or third cousin. I don't think that I could write a fair encyclopedic article (see WP:NPOV). I urge you to write articles about Dassey and Halbach. I should not be a major contributor. --Royalbroil 20:17, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- P.S. You could create a personal sandbox for yourself and I could review the article to help with the formatting and other things like that (called wikify). I suggest the naming your sandbox User:Talosian/Sandbox. Then you could write the article, get helping polishing it up, and finally create the article in the real space (called article space). You then blank out your sandbox for starting the next article. You can look at how I have used my sandbox if you'd like: User:Royalbroil/Sandbox. The sandbox concept works well for collaborations. I'm sure that I could get another member of WikiProject Wisconsin to review the article(s) otherwise: User:RFD or especially User:BaronLarf. We are always happy to get contributions to Wisconsin articles. --Royalbroil 20:26, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- You definitely need to stay away from these articles in that case. Period. --Royalbroil 18:35, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Lawrence Trivia
[edit]We did our first Lawrence trivia this last Feb. It went horrible. Our team was rocked by the WISS trivia contest ending this year. We barely fielded a team this year. Plus my WiFi connection was offline due to rain for most of the contest. I consider our team to be disbanded. I would love to merge into an existing solid team like yours. I'm sure that I could get a few people from our team to help too, especially my sisters. We are long-term trivia junkies like you've probably gathered. I have trivia databases that I've collected that I would bring along. Let me know. You could contact me on the email address on the team website (www.weneedahint.com). --Royalbroil 18:41, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- Things got better the following 2 years. I'm near the end of my third one right now and we've improved each year. Royalbroil 02:16, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
