[edit]I'm Seagull123 and I want to welcome you to Wikipedia!
Wikipedia is an amazing community adventure which is constantly being edited. There are many different versions of Wikipedia for many different languages, and the English version has 6,915,555 articles which are written by volunteers like you and me! We even have a newspaper, The Signpost, to keep you up to date with news and new developments. Making your first steps on Wikipedia can be hard sometimes, so if you need any help, don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page or ask a question on your talk page under a {{help me}} tag. Someone will help you soon!
Wikipedia has five pillars which summarise Wikipedia's fundamental principles:
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia
- Wikipedia is written from a neutral point of view
- Wikipedia is free content that anyone can use, edit, and distribute
- Editors should treat each other with respect and civility
- Wikipedia has no firm rules

Current thinking is that Gildas’ DEB refers to the supervolcanic explosion of 536, which would precisely date his paper. I’m not sure that this has reached a consensus, but it is definitely well known in academic circles.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Tallhwch (talk • contribs) 15:41, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
King Arthur’s historicity relies on the ‘Northern Memorandum’, a theoretical source for ‘Historia Brittonum’ and ‘Annales Cambriae’. To ignore this is to ignore the last 50 years of British scholarship. Both Dumville and Higham are experts on English scholarship who have dabbled in the British, mainly to be negative about any prevailing theories.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Tallhwch (talk • contribs) 13:49, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
