Should I put my chess set into production?

Yahoo! Chess
[edit]Check out this article I wrote with another Wikipedian: Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Chess_on_Yahoo!_Games. You see, for us new editors: Less politiks, more article edits! Fishface gurl (talk) 06:53, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]Since you have decided to continue the bickering at WT:SPI despite being told to stop by a CU and despite my closing the admin, I have blocked you for 24 hours. Of course, you are welcome to appeal following directions at WP:GAB. --Rschen7754 07:26, 20 October 2013 (UTC) {{unblock|1=I understand the reason I was blocked and I will not continue the bickering. I didn't know the admin was closed until after I posted my last post, for which I was blocked. I am new to wiki editing, and am still learning the ropes. but again, to clarify, I will not continue the battle with that other guy. The person I was bickering with had a NPA warning today, and he violated it by calling me a "fascist" "you are a chess.com sockpuppet, based on your paranoia and your fascist "citizen patrol" type attitude. Fishface gurl (talk) 05:23, 20 October 2013 (UTC) This user was also called a person with "a serious attitude problem" by a wikipedia admin, who also noted that fishface gurl was "making wild accusations of sockpuppetry" and was warned from making personal attacks. It was during the period of this warning that fishface gurl (who is not a gurl at all) sent me the inflammatory and provocative messages about my "ravings" on chess.com. You really should be punishing the disruptors who are not operating in the spirit of wikipedia rught after havung been issued a NPA warning, instead of blocking me, who 1. didn't know the admin was closed when I posted" and 2. will not do it again. - The sad thing is that I had just unblocked you when I saw the post below, personally attacking the other user. Now I'm not so sure about this, and reblocked you. Rschen7754 09:15, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

- Wikipedia is not a battleground, and yet you are trying to continue the dispute when you have been told to drop the matter, repeatedly. --Rschen7754 09:30, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
I was told to drop the dispute with fishface gurl. And I did. I was appealing to you regarding the personal attacks he had made on me. So you're punishing me for appealing to you for help? I dropped the bickering with him, and I appealed to you. And so you blocked me. You don't understand how this guy has been calling people names, calling them fascists and lowlifes, called an administrator a "creep". And you might punish me more for telling you this stuff. That's not going to help me drop it. If you want some sense of how this battleground got created I was trying to tell you. Talkingfacts (talk) 09:44, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
- It might be better to refer to Fishface gurl as 'she', as 'gurls' are most commonly female, and so is the forename she gives on her user page... Peridon (talk) 11:03, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
Comment: I see that the person I was 'arguing' with has been correctly identified as an abusive sockpuppet of Wiki Brah. Congratulations on seeing the facts. I feel vindicated. See below: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Fishface_gurl Talkingfacts (talk) 19:51, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
Here is the justification I was given for being blocked; for attacking someone who has now been banned permanently!!

Some friendly advice
[edit]Hi. I have been watching your situation from afar and should say something to try to help. If you are interested in contributing to Wikipedia, it is recommended that new users start by editing articles first. Surely you have some interests or knowledge in particular fields. Why not add some information to articles? Or, if copyediting is more your taste, you can probably find at least a few corrections to make in any given article. How's this: Make about 50 substantive article information edits, and about 50 copyedits before further involvement with Wikiproject space, AFD discussion, or critiquing the administrators. So far you have only two article edits, and both of them were NPOV and were reverted. Take it from someone who has been here a long time, the community is very suspicious of new users that jump in and immediately start bickering on talk pages and AFD's. You should get to know the place a little first, and put in your "dues" with good article edits.
Furthermore, it might help if you get to know a friendly administrator here that you can go to for help or if you have questions. Might I recommend User:Drmies? He (she?) is very helpful and friendly. You might want to check in with him and introduce yourself. Not to be curt, but the way you've been going so far, I can see you getting blocked indefinitely pretty quickly. Thanks, Ohlendorf77 (talk) 16:30, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
- On the other hand, my first edit was taking something OUT of an article. And when I got going, it was patrolling edits by new accounts. Not NPP - others were doing that. It was a long while before I got involved with the boards, though. I might have the highest ratio of deletion over addition here. Different people contribute in different ways. Some add stuff - I throw stuff out. And rabbit on on talk pages... Having said that, Ohlendorf77 is right that the at least part of the community gets suspicious of newish people who seem to know where everything is, and they start to try to work out who they are. Peridon (talk) 17:14, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, I can understand, Peridon. I'm not "new," I've been here for almost ten years. This is just an account I started to help my doctor friend "Talkingfacts." I have done and seen quite a bit on here, that Siegenthaler incident is old hat to me for instance. Don't even get me started on that User:Essjay guy... Ohlendorf77 (talk) 17:21, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
Response Thanks Ohlendorf77 for the friendliness. I definitely am hurting from my first experience on here. There was that fishface gurl who I know from chess.com, and who is a sick individual, with multiple aliases on wikipedia and on chess.com, and who keeps provoking me on chess.com and on here. It really hurt to get blocked, and I appreciate and understand your advice to establish some cred by editing articles. I actually still don't understand why I got blocked, except that I made an addition to a fight after the fight was closed, not knowing that the fight was closed; it was an error of a newbie, and I don't understand the blocking. If you feel like explaining to me why, in your estimation, I got blocked, please do. I will not fight with you. :) Your advice makes a lot of sense. I def don't want to get involved in another little war like the one I was just in, for a long time. It was very upsetting. thanks again, for both the friendliness and the advice, both of which I appreciate. Talkingfacts (talk) 19:57, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
