North Macedonian Handball Team

[edit]

Macedonia competed within the Federal team . Macedonian players played for the federal team. Macedonia was financing the Handball and infrastructure of the federation Yugoslavia etc.Its History , it was Part of the Federation. Stop erasing Macedonian History of sports and Handball. Don't be racist and nationalist its 21 st century. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.82.13.26 (talk) 16:35, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear anonymous user, the results of the Yugoslav handball team belong on the Wikipedia page of the Yugoslav handball team, not on the one of one of its successor states. The same applies to e.g. the Slovak handball team, or the one from Ukraine. This has nothing to do with racism, as you probably know yourself very well. So I will once again revert your changes. Takk (talk) 06:59, 14 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Macedonian Handball team is successor of the Federal team ,you know that very well. And Macedonia within the federal team was present at all those championships and contributed to all those results. So I see nothing but Chauvinism and racism here .Erase it Iam not stopping you . There are other sites informational channels and webs ,the truth is coming out one way or another. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.82.13.26 (talk) 08:55, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe read Succession of states before you start insulting me. Serbia is the official successor state of Yugoslavia according to international law. So if there is one team that can claim the results of the Yugoslav team, it's Serbia. It's definitely not North Macedonia. And there is a page on the Yugoslav team where all the results are listed. Watch out with calling someone a racist. I am Belgian and have nothing whatsoever against any Balkan state, I am simply looking at the facts. Takk (talk) 20:44, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Competitive record for Belgium national football team

[edit]

Hi. I noticed you recently edited my self-made overview table on the Belgium national team competitive record, which seemed more accurate to me before than it might be now. Reasons why I'm thinking so:
- We should consider making a column span for the European Championship, since there isn't a 3rd place playoff anymore since the 1984 tournament.
- Belgium's bronze medal on the Olympics wasn't theirs, but won by a football club from Brussels. We really can't take that one into count.
- Belgium's 4th place at the 2008 Olympics couldn't be included either. I did it earlier on, but they pointed out the fact that since 1948 the tournament has been played by Under 23 selections, and so it was reverted. Either way, if we keep it this way, we should also include that 4th place in the tournament's table somehow, shouldn't we? ProudTarjaholic (talk) 16:46, 8 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I understand your reasoning but would have the following points to note:

- The column span for semi-finals for the European Championships is unnecessary as long as Belgium does not reach this stage in the upcoming tournaments. As long as it's an empty column, it does not add any value.
- Belgium's bronze medal in 1900 is counted by the IOC as a medal won by Belgium. You will see that here. Therefore it makes perfect sense to add it to this page.
- It is correct that the Olympic football tournament nowadays is played by youngsters mostly. However, it is incorrect to say that it is a U23 team. It is a team that consists out of U23 players, and by a couple of players that the Football Association can pick from its regular team. Therefore it is a mixed team which is associated to the national team, and it makes sense to add those results here as well.
Kind regards, Takk (talk) 18:03, 8 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks for your clear answers.

- In your given way, you're totally correct about the needlessness of the column span on those semi finals, but please do make sure it can easily be added again when the team might reach that stage one day. - As proven by your source, I follow your evidence about the 3rd place. Furthermore, I DID think the same about these U23 selections in the past, but I was corrected back then. Let's hope one might not be reconsidering at a certain point. Just one more thing: I do think the Olympics time table should correspond to our overview table. Could we add that 3rd and 4th place to it somehow? Because this actually doesn't make sense. What do you reckon? ProudTarjaholic (talk) 21:54, 9 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I totally agree with you, it is a very double standard. For example, on the Brazil national team page you will see that the 2016 gold medal is added to their medal table, but in the bracket with Olympic results, it is not. But for the Mexican team (gold in 2012) it is mentioned in both lists. So I agree that the results could and should be added. I will try to do so. Takk (talk) 05:43, 10 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I have updated the Olympic table. Let's hope there won't be any negative reactions. Takk (talk) 06:12, 10 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, so I noticed. Good work Takk. If any other user would try to revert your contributions, you should just give these exact same reasons why you did it. I'll try to keep an eye on it as well. And for the record: indeed I've seen such result were added to other team's time tables. ProudTarjaholic (talk) 21:48, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Belgian flag

Your attitude is going to get you blocked. GoodDay (talk) 08:11, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You are not giving any reason why my edit should be reverted. Takk (talk) 08:12, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
And your reasons aren't sourced. GoodDay (talk) 08:12, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The Belgian civil flag (used on land) and ensign (used at sea) is like the national flag, but in proportions of 2:3. It was formally established as the civil ensign by a Royal Decree of 28 November 1936, and was last defined and regulated by Article 54 of a Royal Decree published in the Belgian official gazette dated 11 May 1996. There you go. Takk (talk) 08:17, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Very well. In future source your claims & that way you won't be reverted. GoodDay (talk) 08:19, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ghent University, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Paul Thomas (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited David Goffin career statistics, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alexander Zverev (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
