DYK nom: Hainan Eastern Ring Railway
If you have a better hook, please feel free... Anna Frodesiak (talk)
- Thanks for the information. I was thinking if cutting the 308 km distance, journey time is reduced 80-90 minutes. Half the time on road? --Takamaxa (Talk) 08:09, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
- As a hook? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:36, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
- Is that too generic information as a hook? otherwise, don't worry about it, I will support your hook on the labour required to construct the railway. Have a happy new year 2011. --Takamaxa (Talk) 10:26, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
The article could use a bit more content to make DYK. Can you help? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:01, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Anna, if I do find more content I'll add it. Seems scare at the moment for English news related article. See if I can do some search using baidu.com. My Chinese skills are average. Let you know if I do find something useful to spruce up the content. --Takamaxa (Talk) 11:06, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
- I think I added enough. It's a bit fluffy, but if it makes DYK, hopefully the exposure will help scratch up some good data. You know what would be great? An official website for the railway. Ha ha. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:22, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
- Just hopes the DYK goes through and it attracts the attention it deserves e.g. train buffs. Yeah an official website would help. Don't think the railway officials realises that they are missing out on reaching out to a wider audience. --Takamaxa (Talk) 12:32, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
Christmas!
If you can get rid of all the incoming links to List of universities in Christmas Island, feel free to tag it for deletion again. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:58, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hi there. Yeah the List of universities in Christmas Island makes no sense as there are no universities on Christmas Island. If there were, I don't have a problem with the article. At least its now redirected to the education section of the main article. Yeah I'll go through and have a look. Most of time these articles are fine as list unless they have no context e.g. universities or full of redlinks which has been sitting there for ages. --Takamaxa (Talk) 01:54, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
BLP
Hi Takamaxa, I just wanted to make a small point or two about your article tagging. {{UnreferencedBLP}} is for unreferenced Biographies of Living People. If they are dead, like John F. Baddeley, or not human, like Arceusism then {{unreferenced}} is more appropriate. Also we have {{RefimproveBLP}} and {{refimprove}} for articles that are poorly sourced. Thanks ϢereSpielChequers 17:09, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Why why would you want to delete this? This article is beautiful, man. Anoton (talk) 06:20, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- Already responded to your talkpage. Good luck with fixing your article. I'm just another volunteer at the wp:npp. --Takamaxa (Talk) 06:47, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
DYK for Hainan Eastern Ring Railway
On 7 January 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Hainan Eastern Ring Railway, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the newly opened Hainan Eastern Ring Railway employed 50,000 workers, and is Hainan's largest single investment project to date? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
Didn't you get one of these? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:09, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Anna, oh wow, no I didn't!. But I want to congratulate on your huge efforts and for starting this article. I think you deserve all the credit for bringing this up to DYK. My contributions were minor compared to with what you have done. excellent work. Keep it up!. --Takamaxa (Talk) 11:15, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Master locksmiths association
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Master locksmiths association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. WWGB (talk) 10:58, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi, I have changed your PROD to a CSD#G10 (db-attack). This was clearly an attack page and must be blanked and deleted as quickly as possible. --Kudpung (talk) 11:04, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
- No worries. Thought the author would add references given PROD. But its your call if you think its a db-attack or you found something else I missed. --Takamaxa (Talk) 11:08, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
