Proposed deletion of INFORMS Transactions on Education

[edit]

The article INFORMS Transactions on Education has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable journal. Indexed in Academic Journal Guide, but not in any selective databases, no independent sources. Does not meet WP:NJournals or WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Response to: Proposed deletion of INFORMS Transactions on Education

[edit]

Hello Randykitty. I've brought your perspective to the journal's editor and publisher. It sounds like the journal will apply to get a listing in SCOPUS or another of the databases, that seems more straightforward than trying to navigate the fuzzier criteria.

Is there some way we can hold the page in place while that is done? Or if you need to delete it, can you do something so that it can be recovered when you are satisfied the criteria are met. It would be vexing to lose the work that was put into it.

Thanks.
